I recently purchased several concrete stone garden planters from Solid Rock Stoneworks, all featuring their stunning hummingbird design, and I’m absolutely delighted with how they’ve transformed my Midwest garden! Each planter is a masterpiece, and the ability to customize them made my outdoor space truly unique. I chose different stain colors for each hummingbird planter—s soft sage for the shaded side yard, and a verde for the back patio, as shown in the pictures. These varied hues perfectly complement the distinct areas of my garden, creating a harmonious yet dynamic look. I also selected different pedestals for each planter—a classic ornate base for one, a sleek modern one for another, and a rustic textured pedestal for the third. This customization, as you can see in the photos, allowed me to tailor each planter to its specific spot, making every corner of my garden pop with personality. SOLID ROCK STONEWORKS WAS INCREDIBLE! My wife and I purchased a new home in February. I am a disabled vet, so we decided to replace the landscaping with something requiring less maintenance. We had landscaping rock put in across the entire front of the house and began to install things that we liked as we found them at places like local nurseries, or Home Depot online. We bought things like a concrete bench, a concrete statue of a cross engraved with Joshua 24:15, a couple concrete lions, etc. My wife and I noticed that after just a few months, the color was fading on our statues. After researching, I figured out that everything we had purchased had been stained to give them the color they had, but they were not sealed, and the color faded rather quickly. I was disappointed that not one time had I been told while purchasing the bench and statues that they would fade if I didn’t seal them. We quickly cleaned and sealed everything we had purchased to preserve what color was left. There was only one statue still needed to finish our landscaping; a soldier kneeling at the cross. I noticed that most statues online were stained a “desert sand” color. And, none of them were sealed. Then, I found Solid Rock Stoneworks online. They had the statue, and I excitedly showed my wife that we could choose from 22 colors! So we ordered the statue from them in “expresso”, and received a confirmation email. We were happy. The website stated that it could take up to 7 business days to process and fill the order; and then 3-5 days for shipping. Three or four days went by, and I began to consider time. I had a complete shoulder replacement surgery scheduled in the coming week, and I really wanted to have the statue in place before that. The statue weighs 71 pounds, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to put it in place after the surgery. I called Solid Rock Stoneworks, and talked to John. I explained the situation, and asked him if there was any way that I could get the statue delivered before the surgery date. He was very kind, and understanding of the situation. John never hesitated and told me that he, himself, would get the statue stained that day, and shipped the next. He said that I would have it before the surgery. I can say that John is a man true to his word. I don’t see that very often anymore. I don’t see someone going the extra mile very often anymore either. My wife and I were grateful as we began to unbox our statue. We quickly noticed that it was not shipped like the others we had received. Instead of the usual packed in styrofoam with cutouts, the statue was completely enveloped in styrofoam, and was much better protected than usual. We also noticed that the appearance of the finish was miles beyond anything else we had purchased. It looked like it had been both stained and sealed! I called John the next day. He remembered me, and asked if the statue had arrived ok? I assured him that it had. I asked John how he surrounded the statue in styrofoam like that, and did he do that for all of them? He told me that he had a special machine that cost $30,000, and it would surround the item completely like it was molded to it. He said they normally used it on anything over 30 pounds, or things that had intricate, or easily breakable appendages. Secondly, I told him that that statue looked like it had already been sealed, and asked if he had indeed sealed it? John told me that he had not, but that he used a stain of such quality that it was nearly the same as sealing it. John said that it would be even more protected if I wanted to seal it. But, he said, if I didn’t want to seal it, and IF it had faded in say 3 years or so, to call him, and he would send me some stain that would restore it. I highly recommend Solid Rock Stoneworks! The company, and John, are a most refreshing breath of fresh air in today’s society. Thank you, John, for such a remarkable and caring experience! Granted, no one company, or man, is perfect. But, when you find one that is willing to try to be, it should be shared! Thus, my review.

We ordered a 3 piece stone pagoda. It is definitely solid rock! Super heavy. Our order tracking wasn't working but John was very helpful in keeping us posted on when our packaged was packaged up and loaded up for shipment. Order directly from the Solid Rocks Stoneworks website for more options of stains and sizes.

It is so refreshing today to find a company that is so pleasant and accommodating. I placed an order and received the wrong item. When I contacted them, I explained that it was entirely my fault. They could not have been more understanding. They assured me that they would be happy to send out the correct item. I offered to send back the item that I received but they declined. It is difficult for me to write this review as I don't like leaving bad reviews, but we are very unsatisfied with the product, communication and follow-up from John at Solid Rock Stoneworks. It was great at first, but then after UPS broke 3 basin parts of the birdbath, the communications just stopped with John. It's not all their fault that UPS broke the basins, but they needed to pack the basin better. In between basin 2 & 3 John stopped responding to emails. My husband finally got him on the phone and John said he could make it all right if we left a five star review. So we did. We now have a pedestal and basin, but the basin is still not made correctly. It is off center so when we put it on the pedestal it is uneven and ready to fall off. We now have to take it to a local stone working company and pay to have it corrected (hopefully). Maybe the reason they only have six reviews is because the people don't want to leave a bad review. The rest must be family. Be warned.
