I’ve been going to this dentist office for a few years now off and on, and the customer service has declined greatly. I came in for a cleaning and it went well but the doctor just seemed to not care. He came in joking around and asking me about my personal items. I tried talking with him about my wisdom teeth removal but he was in too big a hurry to communicate. Update 8/30/25: I got a bill in the mail saying I owe money for extensive X-rays. I came to get a cleaning and a cleaning only. I am beyond upset by this!

The smith dental team took the best care of me today , I was hesitant because of me being scared of pain but I was cared for they were so patient and understanding with me ! My Dr was amazing and his assistant talked me through the process the whole entire time I didn’t feel a bit of pain ! They worked with me literally in every way possible and I honestly couldn’t be more thankful and when I say the whole team was amazing! I mean the whole team ! From the front desk to the back room 10/10 I’m never changing my dentist office. Most calmest and safest place I’ve visited in a while .

I've been going here a couple of years now, and honestly, this place has made the dentist one of the least painful routine medical visits for me. The fact they have appointments so late and on the weekends is just mind blowing to me and makes things so much easier! The staff is always super friendly, and the dental assistants know what they are doing and care about you. The dentists are quick, professional, and explain things so you can understand. Highly recommend them!

Had 6 teeth that needed Pulled. Saved up money for the procedure. Price was the same, as I was first told. Procedure didn't take long at all... and even tho I was worried... everything went Smoothly!! I was even emailed AND texted from the office... asking for days.. How I was Doing. THANK YOU - Smith Dental... for taking such Good Care of My Dental Needs and Caring... on how I was recovering from the procedure!! Thank You!!

While living in Baltimore but visiting in Athens, I had a dental emergency on a Sunday. Found and called Smith Dental who immediately did a wonderful job solving the problem & even sending X-rays & notes to my home dentist. Fast forward; we moved to Athens. Of course the only dentist for me was at Smith Dental. Usually just cleanings and minor problems until now. Now they are handling a major problem with efficiency and kindness. This is a wonderful practice with the best staff & doctors! Do t hesitate to give them a call!

I got up this morning and called Smith Dental and ask if I could come without an appointment and she said yes but there is only 1 Dr in today. So I would have to wait a little bit. I told her that's fine. When I got there they were really nice. The wait wasn't long at all. I will be going back. Actually I have another appointment tomorrow morning .I do recommend Smith Dental

Have been to another location for a tooth extraction a couple of years ago. Took 3 trips to get it pulled. Had a bad experience. Went to the Athens location for a cleaning. The young lady did a great job. Discussed the recommended treatment plan. Go back next week for an extraction appointment. Was happy with the staff. Everyone was extremely nice.

I made a last minute appointment for next day for my daughter, there I encountered two women who went above and beyond for my daughter. First my appointment was at 8am and my 6 year old is not a morning person at all. Seeing that Sandi and Bridget went above and beyond to assist my grumpy daughter. Their efforts didn’t go unnoticed and they were super sweet and gentle with her. They exhibited patience and compassion. Something we usually don’t get in today’s time. As long as these two ladies are working here we will be back. Thank you ladies for an awesome experience.
