Shamrock Prosthetics has been a wonderful addition to my husband’s journey losing his leg below the knee. Friendly staff always greet you at their office and our Prosthesis have been great on answering my many questions. They really know what they are doing here with a lot of the staff being amputees themselves. You can see pictures and newspaper/magazine articles of their recognition throughout their many years up on the walls. I highly recommend this company.

On September 28 of 2021 a motorcycle accident took my left leg and nearly took my life. For the next 28 days I sat in a hospital wondering how I was going to find a sense of normalcy in my life again. During that 28 day stay at hotel WellStar in Atlanta, my sister who works at the Shepherd center started asking everyone “who the best prosthetic Company was here in Georgia.”Everyone that she spoke with recommended with high accolades a company called Shamrock Prosthetics in Athens Georgia. Everyone spoke highly of Steve Ehretsman Who founded the company and is also an amputee. Steve made a personal visit to me in my hospital room and this towering giant of a man came into my room passionate and energetic to show me the tools and opportunity now available to help me regain my life. At the office in Athens they have several amputees who are employed there. Most times my arrival is greeted with hugs and high fives from staff members who are quickly becoming my friends. This company not only has the tools and professionalism but also the personal life experience and empathy to truly serve their patients / clients and provide a service and support system to reintroduce them to a productive lifestyle they previously thought lost. It’s now January and little more than three months after my life challenge I am on the brink of walking free of crutches or walkers. The freedom and independence this company has helped give me is priceless. I came into this journey with the mindset that I would not be down long. I was determined to walk again. Shamrock Prosthetics gave me everything I needed to make that dream of walking again a reality. This won’t be the end of the journey, firefighting, CrossFit, Jujitsu, hiking, and so many other achievements are on the horizon. You don’t have a choice as to what life and the universe throws at you for challenges. You do have a choice as to how you face these challenges. Shamrock Prosthetics is one of those choices that you will not regret.

I had an accident in August 2023 and opted for a below-the-knee amputation in October 2023. I started this journey with the decision to be happy and with the mindset that this is not a setback but a setup for something great. Scott and Erik met with me prior to my surgery, laid out a plan, visited me at the hospital post-op, and have been there every step of the way. I immediately felt understood, cared for and knew I wasn't going through this alone. The level of patient care is unmatched. Scott and Erik have been amazing in my post-op care. From the beginning, the goal has been to get back to my pre-accident level of activity and confidence, which includes trail ultramarathons, bootcamps, and Pilates. Shamrock Prosthetics is giving me every tool I need to get back to that life and even more. They’re helping me rebuild myself again, but this time better. The decision to amputate is hard. Their support made me feel not so alone. Having a team who understands what I’m going through has made this path easier. I highly recommend Shamrock Prosthetics to anyone in need of prosthetic care. Thank you, Scott, Erik and the teams in both Athens and Atlanta, for your exceptional support and care!

We feel so fortunate to have found Shamrock Prosthetics after my below knee amputation. We were nervous about whether or not to have the surgery and after meeting with the team, we felt so much better about it. That was step one. Once I had, the surgery continued contact was unbelievable. I was visited in the hospital and at my Doctors appointments. I had a setback post op with my surgery scar- My own fault, And had to wait for that to heal to get my prosthetic. Shamrock was with me the entire way. Eric came to my appointment and Scott stayed in touch. They were so encouraging the whole entire way. Once I got the go ahead to be fitted for my prosthetic, Scott went into action and guided us through that process. What could be one of the most frightening experiences, losing a limb, was never daunting because of their support. They were so caring and so encouraging the entire time. Many of the patient advocates are amputee themselves. Watching them live their life is another source of Comfort. They have empathy for what you were going through and also it is so encouraging to see them function so well. They can answer questions that only an amputee would truly know the answer to the way that they do. I’m not sure if I could have made this brave decision which was ultimately potentially life-saving had it not been for Shamrock. I highly recommend them for all amputee needs

I have Worked with Scott and Steve over the last 10 months having become a trans-radial (Right hand and wrist ) Amputee. I Have been “in training “with a robotic i-limb Hand. Their technical expertise and patience with this transition is nothing short of amazing. They know how to address, not just physical, but also emotional of an arm and hand amputee. Their responsiveness and care reflects the commitment they have to you as a patient

I could never express how grateful to Thomas and Scott our family is. When my father in law lost his leg Thomas came to the hospital to talk with us, and held our hands through the WHOLE process. He came to Doctor appointments and all. Then when we actually got the prosthetic after the stump had healed. Scott walked us through the whole process. Every need we had they were always one step ahead and. You guys are very much appreciated! Thank you so much for excellent service.

My dad lost his leg below the knee 2 years ago due to an infection after an ankle replacement surgery. Shamrock guided him throughout the process of a new life with a prosthetic. He would rave non-stop about how this company was as top-notch as they come. Almost to the point of annoyance. I never in my life heard him speak of a company in such glowing terms. He died suddenly on 9/24/22 and I saw first-hand what he was talking about when Steve and Erick came to his funeral. It was the only time I ever met them and they made quite an impression. I want to personally thank everyone at Shamrock for all you did to help my dad out like you did.

My wife, Connie lost her lower leg due to lupus. Shamrock was the prosthetic company we chose. The staff is so involved in your journey you certainly did not expect. They are with you the day your amputation is scheduled. With some of the staff being amputees the support could not be better. I am so glad to be a part of the Shamrock family. They are so friendly however at the same time professional

I've never been to ☘️ Prosthetics but when the founder and CEO Steve worked for a previous Prosthetics company, he was amazing in helping my sister in law's sister. When I heard Steve started his own company, I knew it would be successful! Steve and his hardworking, dedicated staff helping people every day is a God send!
