We had an amazing experience at Saucehouse BBQ today with a party of 45-50, and they handled it perfectly! The staff was courteous, efficient, and welcoming. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Christopher Belk, and the manager, Ms. Linda, both of whom made sure everything ran smoothly. Despite the large group, the service was fast, and the food was fantastic! I ordered the pulled pork with nachos, cheese, and salsa, along with mac ’n cheese and beans—everything was delicious. The sweet tea was great, and the banana pudding was excellent! The indoor seating is spacious and comfortable, perfect for large groups, and the outdoor seating area is just as impressive! There are games for groups to enjoy outside, porch swings on the wrap-around porch, and rocking chairs to relax in. Whether you’re dining solo or with a big group, I highly recommend Saucehouse BBQ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our family was in town for Freshman Orientation and we’re looking for a convenient place to eat. Saucehouse was very close to where we were staying, located on the corner of W Broad and N Church. We all ordered the 1/4 lb pulled pork plate, but each of us got different sides. That worked well, as we got to sample a variety of tastes. Everything was pretty tasty, and the wide selections of sauce at the sauce station made sure you could fine tune to a taste you enjoyed. For example, my collard greens were good on their own, but the addition of E Carolina sauce made pushed them to very good. Be sure to mention if you are a first-time visitors, they will take care of you! 3 1/4 plates, no drinks, $43.74 before tip.

Very cool fast casual/cafeteria style BBQ joint. I got the Nachos with brisket, collard greens, fried ocra, and the rum yum yum cake. It was a HUGE amount of food and all so good. I was on a work trip and was soo disappointed I couldn't take my leftovers. I'm not usually a fan of rum cake but their take was so good. The sauce wall was great too!

Nice ambiance with a patio and a porch as well as ample indoor seating. The menu has a lot of choices and even more choices for sauces, true to its name. Everything I ate was solid. No complaints. But nothing stood out either with the possible exception of the bread pudding. The bread pudding would have been even better with vanilla ice cream I think. Might try that next time. I will come back at least once more to try a few more dishes and maybe change my mind and rate them higher than 4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Excellent barbecue! Moist and super tasty. I had the brisket, but our party also had the chicken and the pulled pork. Everybody really enjoyed the barbecue. We came here at the recommendation of a friend who works here. Ethan. He had told us about the quality of food and we decided to check it out. He was right! The ordering process can be a little daunting for a first timer, but you basically pick out what kind of barbecue you want and then bread/potato and sides. After you get your drink and pick out a table coming there is a bar of different barbecue sauces. Probably 12 or so. I tried three different ones and they were all great. It's a great place to try out new flavors. The slaw had a vinegary taste, but it was delicious just a little more tangy than I was expecting. But I actually enjoyed it. Fried okra was excellent. There is a lot of seating indoors and an outside porch. There's also a bar / patio area that looks like it would be fun for a game day. This would be a great place for family dinners, groups of friends or a casual date night. I wouldn't do a first date it might be a little too casual... Maybe a third date! There is a good bit of parking, and they seem to own the venue next door. I'm not sure of parking is allowed there. We didn't have an issue. It might get crowded on a game day or weekend night. OMG!! BBQ and Customer Service done right!! I had the following, it was great. Brisket, Pork, Mac and Cheese, Ga Hash is all so very delicious and excellent!! Now the Rum Yum Yum Bread pudding is worth fighting a bear for!! The entire staff is super nice and helpful, the manager Gary and Owner Chris was on the scene speaking to everyone, this is a phenomenal place to eat!! Definitely on my favorites list!!

Before you read my review, note that the owner reached out with curiosity about my experience and how the Saucehouse could improve their service. This was rated the second best barbecue in Athens. Hmmmmm…. The ribs were tender; I can say that. The staff were young, inexperienced, inattentive and bored. The rest of the meal was unremarkable. It’s a serve yourself (like Subway), and to me, was not worth the money.

This is the most amazing mouth watering BbQ saucy foodie experience in the whole world!!! And the staff is excellant really make you feel welcomed and no rushing you out! The atmosphere is very inviting & I just loved being there rustic & cozy overlooking the fountain porch swing surrounded by trees! Ceiling fans made being outdoors really enjoyable. Gotta have their made from scratch mac & very cheese & the collard greens are as good as Mom's! So worth the 55 minute drive. This is the ultimate go to for BBQ its all about the sauce!

BBQ was decent, but not great. Pulled pork was good, but the mac & cheese waa cold and average & the french fries were limp & luke warm. The restaurant and adjacent bar could use a cleaning. Nice people though.

We used Saucehouse BBQ for my daughter’s casual lake wedding-serving 150 people and everything was amazing! The delivery was exceptional and they were so helpful. The mac and cheese was divine! We had pulled pork and chicken and both were tender, juicy and flavorful. Everyone raved about it and we had several big bbq eaters! Highly recommend!!
