This place is genuinely awful, especially once summer hits and students leave. Aside from the cute roaches and other bugs we got to share the apartment with, I could have also ended up sharing it with someone unauthorized to be in my apartment considering the maintenance team left my door unlocked and ALL of my lights on while I was away on vacation. The pricing is stupid ridiculous. The space and the quality of the apartments is not worth paying over $800 a month for. The pet rent and dues are also outrageous. $300 deposit plus $45 per pet PER MONTH. I would rather pay this amount if it meant the space was bigger and I did not get the landlord special where everything is just painted over but called a "renovation." There are also multiple other issues. The gates were ALWAYS broken. The side gate was NEVER locked so really anyone could get in at any time. The wifi never worked and when confronting the office about it, they basically told me tough shit, call and get it fixed yourself as if we aren't paying them to fix these issues. People there to "check" the apartment came barging in my room... while I was sleeping. Overall just not an amazing place to live. Try another place if you want your money spent to be worth it.

Love polo club Athens ! The community is a gated community and it's beautiful, the management is super friendly and they care about their residents and helping . Security and safety is their priority ,Maintenance is even super friendly and helpful. There is a tennis court, 24 hour fitness facility , basketball court , and swimming pool and a beautiful common area game room with wifi , and pool tables . You will love living here and it's close to UGA and bus transportation.

Polo club is a 10/10 place to live if you are a student or just want to live in a place with great amenities. Salt water pool which is hard to find in todays climate. Great for people with curly hair (me). The gym is 24 hour access which if you are a person with a changing schedule all the time fits into your lifestyle very easy. Has a great club room/ study room where there is a nice pool table, couches, coffee and snacks. Staff knocks it out of the park every day. The staff always has a smile on their face and in today’s economy that’s hard to come by. People in specific being Chelsey at the front desk always is positive and gives great direction. Malissa is such a kind spirited woman who I can always talk to about my studies including when it comes to the Bible! Erica always has that pick me up energy. Any time I go in there and see my dawg Erica she gonna lift up my energy for sure. Now Sue is a special woman and a gift from god. Her presence alone shows how hard you have to work for being a force of change and happiness. I feel like when I see Sue she’s always juggling so much in her hands but keeps a smile and stays positive at all times. The maintenance people really hold it down when it comes to doing things around polo club to keep it clean and fresh at any cost. The maintenance guys Colton, Juan, and Nacho are always so friendly and here to help at all times. Always see them picking up trash. Helping people out by just giving them a smile and being present is what this staff is good at. I recommend this place to anyone who needs a home.

It seems that the problems with this complex only worsen once some students leave for the summer, despite residents continuing to pay rent. Throughout my two years here, I have dealt with ongoing wifi outages, issues with accessing gates & clubhouses, scorpion infestations, and the reoccurring inconveniences on the count of the leasing managers. These inconveniences include forcing us to pack up our entire apartments into boxes (4 months before our leases are suppose to end) so that they can renovate for new residents, inspections without proper notice, fines, and worse of all, turning off my water while I was in the middle of a shower getting ready to head to class. Not only did I miss my class because I had to go back and forth with the leasing agents as they refused to cut my water back on, but this was done so that they could begin renovations on my apartment that I neither asked nor gave permission for. They also never stated one would have their water cut off once these renovations began. I was not allowed to access my apartment for 10 hours this day. Renovations like this should be done once one’s lease is completed, not while they are actively paying rent. If you move into this apartment, be ready to deal with a staff that is more worried about making themselves look good to bring in more residents, and not caring about the residents they already have. Unfortunately, now that summer has begun, these problems have only escalated. The wifi has been down every other day for no reason at all. There has not been access to the club house, pool, courts, or gym for weeks due to technical issues that don’t seem to be getting resolved anytime soon. This of course is frustrating for people who work hard to pay rent just not to receive the utilities & amenities they pay these high prices for. Get your self together polo club!

I have lived at Polo Club for a couple years now, and it has been an exceptional experience. The Polo Club pool is my favorite summer hang out spot. It is a very welcoming and friendly community. I have much enjoyed the free food and events hosted by the front office. The maintenance team is very responsive and accessible to assist me and my roommates with any needs we have for the apartment. I've also been pleased with my utility costs; it is always reasonable and management does a great job handling billing. I would definitely recommend checking out Polo Club if you are looking for a place to call home in Athens.

THE BEST FIRST APARTMENT! I moved into Polo Club after my first year at UGA and it was the best decision I ever made. When I toured with Ana back in early 2020 she was super informative and helpful, and even during the pandemic the office went above and beyond to keep us safe and make move-in as easy as possible. And the office team puts so much effort into providing a great experience for their residents. My favorite things about Polo Club are the complementary pest control upon request, the fact that I can paint my walls, and the AMAZING service team that are super thorough and friendly. Would rate 10 stars if I could.

As we approach the end of the semester and have to dedicate more time to school work, out of nowhere, they are forcing us to pack up all our stuff into boxes so they can renovate for next year. They said they’d still do it if we don’t sign but that’s the only way to “prevent any risk of damage to your personal belongings.”

I moved here from Caracas, Venezuela and I really love it. The apartment is comfortable, the bus station is next to the entrance of the complex, the people who work at the office are very kind, the maintenance staff is responsible, the great majority of people who live there are also a students, the pool is beautiful and I use the gym constantly (even though it’s small, it has the basics). I am happy here. I recommend it to everyone!!!

Absolutely loved living at Polo Club! I stayed there for 2 years before graduating from UGA and it felt so much like home. It helps that these apartments are a part of a gated community, and management cares about the residents’ safety. They’re all super friendly, even maintenance! I could put work orders in, and someone would show up to help within a few hours; they’re so helpful. The Polo Club team cares about their residents and helping us with whatever we need. The amenities were also great! There is a tennis and basketball court, gym that’s open 24 hours a day, and a swimming pool. There’s also a big clubhouse with a corner for games and pool tables. This apartment also provides wifi in your individual buildings as well as the clubhouse so it was great to study there at any hour of any day. Polo Club has very convenient transportation for the city buses as well as access to a UGA bus across at Vet Med, so getting to campus was rarely an issue. This place is a great pick!!

The community has a lot of really nice amenities, and it's gated so it feels safe to walk around. Apartments are clean and maintenance seems to respond to requests in a timely manner. Apartments and rooms are kind of small for the cost of rent. Kitchen appliances are really old.
