I'm a retired RN. Today I had a chance to visit Piedmont Athen Region hospital. I was blown away at how moden this place is. The patient's room is very large, allowing plenty of room for guest and the medical staff. The dining hall was simply perfect and they served up an excellent breakfast. Every employee that I met was warm, friendly and helpful. I just couldn't get over how moden everything was and how all of the specialist and nurses interact with each other to provide a solid foundation for addressing the patient's needs. I've visited a few hospitals in my day, but this place clearly outranks them all. This place should be a showcase on how a hospital should be built and operated.

I recently had my mammogram, and I have to say it was a surprisingly pleasant experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. The front desk was welcoming, and the technologist explained each step clearly so I knew exactly what to expect. The procedure itself was quick and much less uncomfortable than I anticipated. The technologist was gentle, patient, and very professional, which made all the difference. The entire appointment was efficient, and I appreciated how respectful everyone was of my time. What could have felt like a stressful appointment turned out to be reassuring and even empowering. I left feeling well cared for and grateful for the kindness and professionalism of the team.

Had my wisdom teeth removed at the outpatient center beside the hospital. When I first arrived the front desk lady seemed to be extremely overwhelmed but she was still pleasant. When I got in the back every single staff member I came in contact with was absolutely amazing! I wish I could remember their names but every nurse, doctor and tech were great! Thank y’all for the wonderful care!!

I went to this hospital today for a barium swallow test and had a very positive experience. The receptionist at the front desk was warm and welcoming, which immediately made me feel more at ease. She explained the check-in process clearly and was very friendly. The nurses and the doctor were all professional and patient. They guided me step by step through the procedure and made sure I understood what was happening. They also checked in on me during the test, which helped me stay calm. What stood out the most was the doctor’s kindness at the end. After finishing the test, he looked at me and said “good luck.” It was a simple phrase, but it felt very genuine and thoughtful, and it left me with a really good impression. Overall, I truly appreciate the excellent care I received here. The staff were professional, caring, and respectful. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone who needs medical care.

Smoothest experiences ever! I arrived a little early for both appointments (ultrasound and infusion) and did not even get comfortably seated in check-in area before I was called to check in. I was immediately taken to my “rooms.” Technician Daphne and Ambulatory nurses were courteous, friendly, and efficient. Services completed in record time. Enjoyed breakfast in cafeteria. Really pleasant day!

Easy checkin & registration; sincere & professional welcome & processing for procedure; perfect care in pre-procedure steps; continuous updates to Spouse during procedure; clear after procedure brief by Dr.& Staff. Only negative was extended wait for overnight room due to availability. I feel I received the best expert care from a great team at Piedmont Regional Athens!!

I had a wonderful experience when I went in for my procedure. Every single medical professional introduced themselves to me and listened to me. I felt heard and involved in the process. The nurses were amazing! My doctor has the best bedside manners and he communicated very well with my family. I would have given all five stars, but there was one nurse that blamed me for a mistake that she made. Recover was wonderful and I wasn’t rushed out of the hospital, but rather given the option to stay for a night. I opted to go home though and sleep in my own bed.

This is the hospital that did my triple bypass heart surgery in March of 2025. I like the nurses and doctors here. My cardiologist Dr Holland is here also. Very friendly and helpful and nice staff. They deserve more than 5 stars.
