The pink house office has really gone into decline since the days of when it was run by the late Dr. Gibson, like just about everything else in society. The decline started with his son. I have been going there for probably close to 20 years. Yesterday was the third time they messed up on my mother's schedule and I. They try to cover their tracks by being overly nice when they screw up. My mother is 86 and doesn't drive, so we have appointments on the same day. They claimed to have called my mother to inform her that the nurse would not be there, but there is no record of a call from them on either my house nor my cellphone. I have threatened them in the past about being incompetent. If they had done their job, I could have left mom at home yesterday, so she could have been doing her chores instead of sitting almost two and a half hours waiting for the doctor to see me. They seem to think I have time to always drive back and forth to that office. I am not retired, and I have students I teach online. I have to cancel or leave my calendar empty to come to their office, thus losing money. I don't have health insurance, so having to pay out of pocket while I had to cancel classes or leave my calendar empty so I can come and sit an hour or more in that office is just maddening and frustrating.

Avoid this place. I have excellent insurance and went in for a physical in July of 2023 - I repeat a physical, and have been toe to toe with the laboratory company for a bill from the doctors requesting out of the ordinary blood work. They won't help, I spoke to someone once and they just blew smoke in my face, at least have the courage to just hang up on me. I also checked my EOB on my account and there were very strange "surgery" lines on my paperwork and requesting money or something to my insurance. The reason this stood out is because I have since left this place and went to another doctor and my experience is a 360 flip, even the paperwork isn't sketchy. How interesting? Anyway, do yourself a favor and try to think about somewhere else unless their staff has changed and they are more professional.

This practice was one of the few in Athens still accepting new patients. I confirmed with the receptionist over the phone when booking my first appointment that they accepted my Cigna insurance. She took down the insurance numbers and all my details. I waited three weeks for the first available appointment and immediately upon arrival the desk receptionist informed me that they don't accept Cigna when I handed her my card. She also mentioned that this wasn't a recent change, either. So whoever I talked to three weeks ago had no idea what they were doing. I knew I should have trusted all the negative reviews, but I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. After wasting a morning my lesson is learned.

Would give no stars if I could. My grandmother was doubled booked for an appointment. The staff called her and changed it to July 3. After taking the day off of work to accommodate this day we walked in the staff said we got the dates wrong on our end. My grandmother is wheel chair bound. I understand mistakes happen, however the level of concern from the office staff was null. They could have offered her to see another doctor that was there today. My grandmother has been with Dr. Gibson for many years. However, with recent changes and quality of service she will not longer be with this practice.

If you enjoy waiting the on the phone for ever this is the place to go! If you are looking for Dr. Tim Gibson or his son Jim who were great people at what they did, well neither one of them is with Prince Avenue Primary Care any longer, all they have is one Physicians Assistant working there. It was a real experience waiting for over a month to see a Doctor, only to learn the day before my appointment, that all they had was a P.A. I will say the staff once you decide if your going there are super friendly and very helpful.

I've never been able to get my husband of 35 years to a doctor until this one. After 35 years of marriage this has been our only family doctor, emphasis on the family because that's how we feel every single time we go there. We had the pleasure of being treated by Dr Gibson Sr and now Dr Gibson Jr. Exceptional care and treatment consistently. Restored my hope and faith in the medical community.

I was really grateful to have found this office after seeing Sarah, a nurse practitioner there. She went above and beyond, and all the staff made me feel genuinely cared for. They were quick, knowledgeable, accommodating, and validating. So why two stars? Well, my situation is serious so the NP I saw said she was putting a stat on my referral and two call back if I hadn't heard from them in two days. I did as instructed. The front office transferred me over to a woman named Candance, who got on the ohone already annoyed seemingly by her tone and said "This is Candance." I said I am sorry Candance I wasn't told why I was transferred to you, but I was told to call back if I had not heard from my referral. She immediately continued with her annoyed condescending tone and said, "Your test results are normal." (Test results that are irrelevant to the referral situation). I said "The woman I saw told me to call back if the neurologist never called me." Candance again very aggressively and annoyed said "Referrals take time, we just put it in when you were in the office." And I said "I know, but the provider told me she put a stat order on it and to call back if they hadn't called me, so I am just doing what she said." Candance says "Yeah I know, I'm the one who put the order in." I took this as her telling me she was the provider. She continued to act and speak to me as if I am the stupidest most inconvenient person on the planet, so I thought to myself there is no way this is the woman I saw. I asked her directly, "Are you the nurse practitioner I saw?" She said "No, I am an office scribe." I asked "I am sorry did I do something to offend you? Everyone in the office has been so kind and you seem overly aggressive towards me". She said, "No. Do you want the phone number or not?" I took the phone number to the referral, and she very condescendingly ended the phone call. I am only leaving this review because I am going through an extremely tough time health wise and did not do anything to deserve such ugly treatment. Whether or not she is having a bad day, she shouldn't take it on patients. My day is ruined and honestly, I feel like crying after being treated like such an inconvenience and an idiot. A little empathy goes a long way, Candance.

Basically everyone has left. Jim Gibson ( loved that doc), another doctor who replaced him, and then Holly. All have left, for various reasons. You have no idea who's going to be your doctor on your next visit. It's not comforting to see someone who has no idea who you are, or your history. I was just getting used to Holly, after Jim Gibson left. Now she's gone also. Have no idea who I'll be seeing next visit. The staff are nice enough, but may be time to find a practice with some stability.

I was in the market for a new PCP and I found it! I had a very pleasant experience and am well pleased with the service I received. Dr. Regina was very attentive and sensitive to my needs as a new patient! I left feeling great and look forward to returning!

This is the worst doctor office ever. Will be cancelling all other appointments and finding a new place. I have yet to meet the doctor after 2 visit in the last 2 months and have been waiting over 2 months now for a RX that my pharmacy sent back due to insurance and they don't reply to my pharmacy or me when I call and leave voicemail for them. Oconee Primary Care is the best with Dr. Ken and Dr.Kim
