Ordered a truck rental a week in advance and was asked to confirm twice via email and once over the phone. The truck was not here this morning when we drove in from Atlanta, and no one could tell us why. After talking with their office, the best they could do is a truck we’d have to pick up in Gainesville an hour away for the size we’d booked, or the wrong size truck (Too big to fit in apartment complex) later today. Unreliable service, will not use again.

Booked a 16 ft a week in advance to move our UGA graduate on the only day he didn't have to work, this was our perfect day to move. One way from Athens to Atlanta. Called the day before to update the time to 10:00am, no problem. Drove from Atlanta up I-85 to 316 thru Lawrenceville to Athens, made to Home Depot at 9:56am. Response at the counter? "We don't have a truck, they were supposed to call you". No call. Missed a call at 10:14am, as I was dealing with the counter, from Penske that there wasn't a truck in Athens. Thanks for the heads up. Called them back, ended having to drive all the way back to Lawrenceville, where I had already passed thru to get the truck I had RESERVED in Athens. Wasted 3 hours plus gas in a 12,500 lb truck and a SUV. On our perfect day to move. Had movers waiting on us in Athens to load and in Atlanta to unload. Could have easily been solved by a phone call to pick up in Lawrenceville before my pickup time, not after. OR, crazy thought here, had my truck in Athens where I reserved it. Would not recommend. A reservation means nothing.
