If I could give zero stars I would. If this is the best oral surgery clinic that Athens, GA has to offer, then we’re in big trouble. Everything was fine until Dr. Pollack BROKE my surrounding molar while extracting my wisdom teeth. He told me about while I was coming off of sedation so of course I had no recollection of it until I regained feeling in my mouth and felt the sharp edge of my tooth. Luckily, my sister got a video of him telling me and his first response was “I didn’t even pull that hard, it must’ve already been broken.” Mind you I have TWO very recent sets of X-rays which say otherwise. I already have pretty bad dental anxiety but I have tried to be proactive to try to avoid more costly and extensive repairs in the future… I called the office the Monday after my wisdom teeth extraction (which was the Friday before) to try and get some more information about what happened (and to see how they plan to repair or at least pay for the repair of my tooth) and this dude (Dr. Pollack) is on vacation. The lady on the phone just tells me to call back next week when he’s back because there’s nothing she can do. I call the next Monday and he is STILL on vacation!! The lady on the phone told me that he’d be back Wednesday. Today is Wednesday. I called again this morning, and STILL.NO. RESPONSE. To have caused me even more dental trauma by breaking my tooth (which will definitely need to be repaired), not check up after doing so (or have anyone from his office check in about the tooth) and have me jump through all of these hoops just to speak with him… is unbelievable. I am not sure of the type of business these people are running. The reviews SEEMED great which is why, even though I have so much anxiety, I decided to trust Dr. Pollack with my care. Looks like I was wrong to do so. This office will not stop hearing from me, and I will not stop sharing this unbecoming experience, until this situation is rectified to my liking.

I had my wisdom teeth removed at this practice and they were all so nice and accommodating. They put the patient’s best interests ahead of making a dollar off of you. I gravely appreciate the staff, nurses, doctors, and assistants. During the procedure everyone was in sync and the whole procedure was so smooth which I appreciated because no one needs confusion or added stress after a painful procedure.

After confirming with their office that they are in network with our insurance, and spending time online filling out forms, including insurance information, the week before, we arrived for the consult. We were informed by the lady at the desk that they had not received our referral, that we were out of network and would have to pay out of pocket. Back home we checked again, and it turns out they are listed as in network with our insurance plan. We just wasted half a day, and will take our business elsewhere.

My experience was excellent. The staff was professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Pollock was very professional and knowledgeable. He was spot on with his comments and his work. Follow-up was performed about 8 hours after surgery. I give the practice and staff an A+.

Dr. Pollock and his entire staff are fabulous. I woke up with virtually no pain which is amazing considering how many teeth were removed. I called back later with some follow up questions and one of the staff members (Madison?) told me everything I needed to know. Highly recommended!

OSA are the best for your dental surgery needs. They are professional, courteous and attentive to your needs. They will address your concerns and answer any questions before your procedure. They are upfront about any costs due at time of procedure or next office visit. I will always recommend these nice caring people. They get a 5 star rating.

Overall professional, kind and proficient. The front office staff is kind and efficient. The clinical staff including the surgeon is knowledgeable and professional. The only negative is that I did not receive a follow up call. Previous surgery with a different org, I received a follow up call.

I had An amazing experience with this office Dr. Pollack was very nice. The front staff the back staff. Everybody was super nice and I truly appreciate them because I was very scared very anxious very nervous and they took extremely well care of me. I went in to get an emergency tooth extraction (1 Wisdom tooth) from Dr.Pollack. He was very informative & his team here in Athens, GA were EXTREMELY compassionate when it came to the pain post treatment. They took care of me the best they could, returned my calls/ answered my questions promptly & even watched my baby girl as I was in agonizing pain. (I had a fully developed “bony” compacted tooth that was kicking my butt) it’s safe to say I have never felt more safe in the hands of ANY medical provider as I did with them. I will 100% refer Oral surgery associates - Dr. Pollack to anyone in need.
