Caring and compassionate providers with a professional and efficient support staff. This is one of the last independent primary care offices (not owned by a large hospital or corporation). A true rarity. As a result, the providers have flexibility to do what is right by the patient and not answer to a big hospital administration that wants to pot the bottom line above your care in some cases. Dr. Earhart, Carrie Prowell and LeighAnne Landers are all a credit to the healthcare profession. They are supported and bolstered by a front and back office staff that always goes above and beyond. If you want personalized care and you want to feel like your care is the most important thing- go book an appointment. Speaking of appointments, it is not unusual to be able to get a same day appointment when you are in need and an established patient. The office itself is efficient and clean. I love the themed exam rooms and central location in the 316 Professional Park in Watkinsville. Give them a try!

If you want a place to get pills, this is the place. When I first came here years ago, I was meet with Dr.Erhart. Have some family history that has occurred around my current age, and he went threw some test and set me up in the right direction. That was the once and last time I saw him. Every year since then, some concern has cropped up. I’ve been meeting with a younger doctor since, and the interaction is usually a rushed 5 minute (or less) talk which just leads to pushing pills. If pills are the only solution, fine. But I like to see if there is an underlying issue that I can change in my lifestyle to correct the issues… which is migraines that put me out of commission. For this last one, it was a lack of water. It took a clear upset look, and asking questions myself to find out that I wasn’t drinking enough water. A simple fix that I remedy without pills. But I had to ask questions to find out that was the cause. Not the doctor checking off possible causes… As someone who is hired for my experience and knowledge in a profession, I like to cover all the basics with my clients to determine what the issue might be. Sometimes it’s a easy fix. Sometimes it requires more work, but I don’t know that without inspecting and asking questions. The reason I’m giving two stars, is because the nurses and office staff are really good. But the questions and physical checks stop with the nurses, and then followed up by 4 different pills to resolve the problem… yet no questions on lifestyle. Something that busy people do not consider, until issues come up. A client of mine recently told me they don’t trust any company that puts ‘Oconee’ in their business name. Unfortunately with my experience, this is turning out to be true.

I have found their staff extremely rude! They have no problem yelling out your personal information at the desk while you’re sitting there in the waiting room. I am a medical professional myself, and I’m sure that this is a JCAHO violation within itself! They double charge you for office visit constantly. You come in for blood work that someone else does and they charge you for another office visit. I have reported them! Cannot wait to see them go down.! I would not recommend this place to anyone. The nurse practitioners are extremely rude. Especially Leigh Ann. Stay away from this place unless you just don’t care about your health at all, Or your wallet

I cannot recommend them enough!!!! Over the last 10 years, I have had back pain that has progressively gotten worse and caused me to start having panic attacks due to not being able to move many days, and I just turned 30. I’ve had a nurse practitioner (many years ago, somewhere else) excuse my backstory and pain as something that doesn’t correlate (turns out it actually does and her ignorance is what caused everything to get much worse), a doctor (at another practice) mock what my chiropractor has said, ridicule the X-rays his practice took, yet not even order new ones, and suggested I simply “lose weight/work out” (I am not horribly heavyset) even though I expressed how I can hardly get to my mailbox without my back locking up and muscles spasming to the point of becoming immobile. All she would do was order a week’s worth of steroids, which obviously did nothing. I switched to this practice and saw Christian Gibbs. Not only was he extremely concerned for me, he immediately ordered new X-rays, which I got done that day, he asked if I wanted an mri too (I declined for the time), and by 6pm, after hours, called me to inform me of my X-ray results, because he didn’t want me going the whole weekend not knowing, and put in the referral for me to start physical therapy, which began the next week. Turns out, there is a ton wrong with my back that has gotten worse with time because multiple doctors have dismissed my pain, my backstory, and my fear. In the last less than 2 months, my life has completely changed, due to this practice that actually cares for their patients, listens to their stories, and explains in detail what options there are and what to expect moving forward. The office staff are also all extremely kind, personable, and wonderful. I feel so comfortable here, and never have I EVER had a nursing staff or doctor who actually listens and cares like they do here. I highly highly recommend this place!

My symptoms were invalidated by the NP. No concern that I have had blurred visual changes and new onset of nerve pain where I had cosmetic product administered. No concern for the 3 weeks of intense nerve pain and the effect on blood pressure. Said there was no correlation to Botox, it would wear off in 6 months, couldn’t help me, and walked out the door. Complete disrespect for the patient condition. I came out of trust for this practice and this individual treated me with disbelief and only symptom checking was to say I wasn’t asymmetric to rule out TIA. And to tell her friend about my Botox symptoms because she either gives/gets it for migraines all the time without problems.

Extremely helpful and caring. Have been using them as my primary care physician for a few years now and have nothing but nice things to say about them. Dr Landers is particularly good, but all staff are excellent as well.

Genuinely shocked at the experience I had with “Dr.” Earhart. I recently quit smoking and been having some intense mental symptoms and was diagnosed as bipolar by a different doctor. I wanted a second opinion and went to Earhart after being referred. I paid $150, was given a 14 question form, and he read the form and told me I was bipolar. I told him “you haven’t even let me tell you my symptoms or why I’m here, and I don’t really think the form covers it”. He replied that I don’t trust doctors and that he’s not going to listen to me because his form is “fullproof”. when I tried to ask more questions He then stormed out of the office, told me to leave the office immediately, and refused to speak to me after I asked a nurse to retrieve him. I was given a refund and told to leave. I have never in my life experienced something so pathetic and almost embarrassing in my life. Most insane and unexpected doctor visit I ever had or ever will and I hope no mental disorder patient ever goes to this man.

Dr Earhart is certainly the worst doctor I've ever had. He rushed through the appointment. He asked no questions and gave no opportunities for my questions. The only time he listened to a word that I said was to refute me. When I offered an idea of what I thought was wrong based on my blood test results, he accused me of being a "WebMD doctor" and having just googled it. He decided that my dosage for testosterone was too low, and *told* me that he was going to change it, instead of asking why it was low, if I wanted to raise it, or even just asking who my endocrinologist was. I had to interrupt him several times to tell him not to change the dose, because I was happy with where it was. *Do not* go to this clinic.

I was a patient here for many years, from adolescence into adulthood. I came here from age 12 all the way to age 27. I really love Sarah and Dr.Prowell and I’ve been through so many phases of life with this office. I have had to deviate to other physicians from time to time when my insurance changes and they don’t accept what I have, but I will always keep Oconee family practice close to heart and I do reccommend them! Carrie and Sarah took great care of me.

When I was called back for my appointment, the nurse took my vitals and weight, and then asked me what I was there for today. When I told her it was something I wanted to speak with the Dr about, she got more upset than she should have but was still somewhat nice to me. She left and Dr. Earhart came in for our appointment, he was extremely rude! As a new patient, he starts with, "What do you need?" in a very hostile tone. I was taken aback by how he rushed in with no introduction. First things first, I asked, "Are you Dr. Earhart?" He says, "Yes, what do you need?" in a hostile tone, again. At this point, I am so dumbfounded by his rudeness that I am thinking of leaving, but I ask, "Are you having a bad day?" He says, "NO, I am not having a bad day! You did not allow the nurse do her input paperwork and now I don't know what is wrong with you! From now on, if you can't let her do the paperwork you can find another doctor. I said," I am considering finding another one." Dr. Earhart says, "well, if you paid a deductible today you can have it back and find a new one!!" I told him, "I will take my deductible back and find a new one! If I wanted to see a nurse I wouldn't schedule with a doctor." I couldn't believe how truly rude and unprofessional Dr. Earhart is! No disrespect to all the nurses out there but I am here to see the doctor I read about online, and was referred to, not whichever nurse is on staff that day.
