I called Normal Hardware to see if they could help me with a rolling lawn aerator I just bought and had delivered but thought were missing some bolts, and a nice gentleman by the name of Bob answered the phone and said to come on by so they could take a look a it. So I stopped by and upon entering the store, Bob and Steve greeted me with a friendly smile and I let them know “Hi! I’m the person that just called about the lawn aerator” and then further explained to them I tried assembling it myself and had a frustrating time with which bolt went where because the instruction manual that it came with wasn’t very clear and that I could barely read the directions because the wording was so small. They understood my frustration, were very kind, and were more than happy to help me and together they assembled it right then and there! They are very friendly and professional, and I’m very happy I found this hardware store and would definitely recommend this place to others. So if you’re looking for a hardware store run by knowledgeable, professional, and friendly people…then don’t hesitate to stop by! Thank you Steve and Bob!

I used to wonder why my dad, who worked on appliances and did small plumbing jobs, would go to Normal Hardware to get things instead of the bigger companies. Now after a couple of visits there because i now work near there i see why. Couldnt ask for a better group of people to help you.

I visited this hardware store recently hoping to find some furniture screws to match some antique furniture I was restoring. When I walked in I was greeted by two very nice men. I told them what I was looking for and, without hesitation, they took me straight to what I needed. I can’t speak much about this place other than my quick visit, but I was a happy customer. This is an older store that has obviously been in business for quite some time and the way they treat customers, I can see why. Thanks guys!!

I LOVE this place! Friendly folks. They got a little bit of everything you need. If you need to grab an quick item for a project they are close by. Great plants and seeds for your garden and expert advice. They beat big box stores hands down in customer service. SHOP LOCAL!

Everything at normal hardware is expensive. I just needed a handful of screws and they billed me for each screw carefully. I wanted to get some finishing oil and some other things, but I refuse to pay astronomical prices just because they look like the 1940s. Go to home Depot or Lowe's, it's worth it.

Love this place! Personalized assistance and knowledgeable staff who great you when you walk in the door. Prices are higher than that of Lowe’s or Home Depot, but convenience and receiving help when you need it go a long way!
