Best dentist and, quite frankly, best medical provider of any kind I’ve ever seen. He has patience, explains everything, is gentle when doing fillings, and doesn’t just recommend work unless it’s needed. For example. I lost a tooth 35 years ago and every dentist I’ve seen since said I would need an implant to keep the opposing tooth from having issues. I never did it. They were adamant that I’d lose another tooth without implant to oppose it. 10 years ago when I started seeing Dr. Newman, he asked about it. I explained and he mentioned the implant possibility and asked if it was recommended in the past. Then he said “the fact that’s it’s been fine for 25 years means it’s probably fine”. He looks closer and notes that the tooth above the missing one makes contact just slightly with the one next to the one that is missing and explained that since the tooth has some opposing force when eating, that probably kept it in place. 5 other dentists wanted to do an implant. Newman looked, listened, and then explained why it wasn’t needed. When he has to do work, he goes slow and is aware if you are uncomfortable so he can adjust as needed to make it as easy as possible. Just wonderful all the way around.
