They did an outstanding job with my floors. 17year old Brazilian Anglim worn so bad from our large breed dogs that even the dogs were getting splinters from the floor. They sanded and refinished and it looks better than new! Took amazing care of the house and protected shelving and furnishings with plastic while they were sanding. Could not be happier with the finished product!!

My husband and I recently used Modern Floors for our home. The only thing that has impressed us more than the craftsmanship is their integrity. They had completed a job at our neighbors and she recommended them to us. They also installed a beautiful french door in her office. We refinished our living room, dining room and kitchen in addition to converting 2 rooms from carpet to hardwoods. The tie in looks seamless, you could never tell there wasn’t wood there before! One of the biggest reasons we chose Modern Floors was because they also completed our staircase project. This was important to me because I wanted the stairs, hand rails and posts to all match the floors. They added beautiful touches throughout and did not overlook areas that they knew would eventually not be exposed with kitchen cabinets. The price we were quoted was the price we paid, and the work was completed as expected. They worked so hard-even through a hurricane! We left our home during the work and Igor even put our trash out and they made sure any deliveries were all set aside. Quality work, fair price, met the deadline and just all around good guys…what more could you want?

Great company, excellent craftmanship and communication! A water leak in our kitchen caused us to replace the entire first floor (engineered hardwood) and undergo various repairs. The restoration company we worked with recommended two companies, one of them being Modern Floors. We met with the owner, Igor, to assess the damage and discussed necessary repairs and the overall process, including working with our insurance company. We have an old cat and a 900-pound saltwater aquarium on the first floor, so finding the right company to accommodate our special needs and wishes was very important. Side note: you can't easily move a large aquarium. Hence, extra steps for removal and new floor installation and coordination between Modern Floors and a specialty fish tank contractor were instrumental. We are very pleased and satisfied with Modern Floors and would highly recommend them. The new floor looks beautiful, and Igor and his team's attention to detail and craftsmanship are top-notch. Igor provided us recommendations and tips for choosing the new floor and handled ordering the floor once we had made our selection. Everyone at Modern Floors was very professional, courteous and they always cleaned up at the end of the day. Excellent communication, including the owner managing various subs (the painter, cabinet painter, countertop company, and plumber were all part of his quote and coordinated by the owner, Igor), really stood out to us. The order of pictures is from after to before – we wanted to show our beautiful new floor first!

My refrigerator leaked, completely destroying and warping the wood floors in my kitchen. Igor came out to do a consult late at night and immediately started taking out the wet floor boards to save the subfloor and surrounding wood. I hired him to finish the job. Later that week he came in with his amazingly efficient family/crew and knocked it out in a day. I can’t believe he even matched the stain. Hire this family run company for your floors!
