Everything about Athens Orthopedic is great! From the staff to the automated and email reminders (I would never remember an appointment without them!) Dr Baker is truly amazing. He actually listens to you and answers your questions, of which I have so many. He is patient and understanding, and you can tell he loves what he does. Tasha is his nurse and she is also awesome! They both always have a smile, and that goes a long way, especially when you are in pain.

After breaking my leg a year ago I needed emergency hip replacement surgery and Dr. Baker was the surgeon on call. He did a great job, and I've been doing weight resistance to rebuild muscle. When I pushed it too much and got a painful limp, Dr. Baker saw me quickly, diagnosed bursitis, and gave me pointers on how to heal it and avoid future problems in my exercise program. I'm grateful for his prompt response and his reassurance.

Dr. Baker is great to deal with and a master at his profession. I am glad he was there when I broke my leg as the experience was much better than expected. He was very straight forward with details and always answered my questions. His cost is very reasonable too.

As far as I am concerned this guy may be the best orthopedic surgeon in the country. I had a femoral neck fracture that required hardware installation. Recovery was long and the hardware was taken out after about 8 months. I know feel great. Absolutely no complications. I believe all healing comes from God, (for which I am eternally grateful) but know he uses good people to work. Way to go Dr. Baker!!!

I first met dr. Baker in the ER after being transferred from another hospital due to a traumatic injury to my pelvis and lumbar spine. I was all alone due to quarantine precautions from covid 19 at the facility and was very scared and in a lot of pain. Dr. Baker was kind, explained things and reassured me that I was going to be alright. After leaving the hospital, I had follow up visits in the office and again he was very helpful, answered any question I had and took time to explain what to expect with my recovery. This was very helpful to me as I was not used to being in pain and dependent on others for my care. I still have one more follow up appt and hope to be well enough for no more visits but if I ever need anything, Dr. Baker is who I’d call!

So far so good with the whole team!!! My grandmother goes to the office for a hip replacement on her left hip and the doctor had been awesome and the nurses as well... nothing bad to report!!! The urgent care gets you in and out in a jiffy!!!! Again the whole staff is awesome!!!!

I hit a deer 12/17 on my motorcycle and was transferred to athens i had several broke ribs and shoulder blade was broke he was informative and caring and it was the same when i saw Dr Baker at the follow up appt. Thanks doctor Baker for being a Doctor that cares
