I love shopping here. Frank and Eric in the Produce Section are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They always greet me with a smile and ask me how I am. JR in the Meat Department is friendly, professional and a serious hard worker. He never stops working and rarely takes breaks. Mr. Webb is so nice to me and always asks me about retirement and stress. Kirby on the front end is the hardest worker in the front end and is always happy. The store is well stocked and the employees are hard working. I recommend this Kroger if you are in the Athens area.

I got up early and came to Kroger to find sweet corn for Thanksgiving dinner. My daughter loves spicy corn although it’s kinda too spicy for me usually. My regular store didn’t have any corn at all and I was pretty disappointed because that’s one of our favorite things for Thanksgiving dinner. Anyway, I came to Kroger early and was delighted to find they had plenty of sweet corn. That was one of the last things I needed for dinner tomorrow. I also had to get some potatoes for mashed potatoes because the ones I have at home are full of eyes and I don’t want to eat that. I like Kroger, in fact, I prefer it over the other store. But it is much farther away. By other store it’s just about walking distance. A Kroger fuel points are a great benefit, but I never get enough points to make it worth my while. I put my sister’s number in because she does collect the points and she really knows how to work it. She gets all kinds of extra points for shopping on Friday, doing a surveys on the receipt, and her neat trick is buying a gift card and using it to buy the groceries. She gets a lot of extra points for that. She has enough points this month to get her gas fill up for, get this, 11¢ per gallon. I called BS on that at first but she showed me the receipt. I like KROGER a lot and the only reason I gave them four stars is because the aisles are so crammed full of stockers but it’s hard to negotiate the aisles. I mean even at 8 AM the store was crowded with shoppers today and all those big stocking carts were in the way It was a real pain in the tail. I found this problem at a lot of stores lately; they don’t stay open 24 hours anymore and they do their stocking during the day while customers are in the store.

Waited nearly 30 minutes for something that would take 30 seconds to do, all because youre understaffed and let other people cut and do nothing while in line. Please move people who dont know what they're doing aside for the people who do. Lunch wasted bc it took 30 mins to get here with all the traffic. And you wanna cut their hours they say? I told them and will continue, go next door to spectrum they start out 18 an hour. And it wont be this mess you call a business.

I spent $7.99 on these Kroger Adorbs on June 17th and by June 20th I had to throw them out because they had rotted and wreaked. What a waste!

I’ve been coming to this Kroger for weekly Kroger pickups for years now and will always come back. They are consistent, kind, professional, and if there’s ever an issue with an order, customer service online and in-store has resolved it quickly. I always look forward to seeing Clinton at my pickups and he deserves all the promotions and raises! He is always extremely kind and makes sure pickups are perfect. Last week I was mentioning how bad my allergies were and how I was thankful to be able to order allergy meds in my pickup order. He noticed that the medicine I ordered wasn’t in the pickup baskets and ran inside to resolve it immediately. Clinton, you’re the best and thank you for brightening my day during our weekly pickups💛

Horrible store. The girl working the self check out on the night of 5/7/2025 was extremely rude. She was walking around slamming baskets on the stack. Pissed off because she hates her job. This is the worst Kroger store I’ve ever been to.

Store and staff are decent but giving 1 star because they allow morally bankrupt Xfinity/Spectrum sales reps to harass anyone that tries to check out with their groceries.

I haven't been able to access the digital deals for weeks. I have been a loyal customer for years and customer support will not help me. They won't give me a replacement card, they say "well it works on MY app" and they won't get a manager. Worst service I have experienced in a long time.

I will no longer be buying bakery products here. Multiple times within the past year, I have purchased croissants from the bakery, only to get home and find fruit flies (or other bugs) flying and crawling around inside the container. I even called the store and spoke to customer service regarding the issue, to which they did not seem concerned. I am still seeing croissant containers in the store with live bugs flying around inside of them, so I will assume customer service did not take my concern seriously. I will purchase bakery items from Publix from now on. The lackluster attitude from this Kroger over an obvious health and safety concern is frustrating.
