We recently took this ring to JWR Jeweler’s in Athens at my mother’s very persistent persistence. My wife and I felt it was a total waste of time. We had been told by two others jewelers in Acworth, where we live that it would cost $2,500 to make this ring safe for our daughter to wear. Their emphasis being that it’s platinum and expensive to work on. JWR looked at the very same ring and said $200. I had to call today and find out how they were able to do this. It’s fair to say that when my wife and I have a fine jewelry need in future, we’ll be driving back to Athens. Update on 3/12: True to their word, ring was $200. A far cry from what our “trusted” place quoted us. My wife is taking the ring back to them on Tuesday. They have the chance to be honest and say “it’s perfect; no work needed”. I do hope they do. I’ll be very disappointed if they continue to lie to us. Put a picture of the ring all prettied and fixed. 3/23-Final Update My wife toor the ring back to the aforementioned jewelers. We have them a chance to be honest. We are very disappointed. They said the ring that JWR just worked on needs $1,162 worth of work, but that it’s “safe” to wear. Compare their newest quote to the work JWR just did. It’s exactly the same! Added three additional pictures so that anyone looking at this can see that I can bring truthful. For clarification-I paid $125 to have the ring appraised at JWR. That’s why the receipt says $325 and not $200. They absolutely kept their word.

Fantastic service! Graidy (I’m probably spelling his name totally wrong) was awesome! He looked at my ring/diamond and eased my anxiety - it was just dirty! He was also wonderful with showing us men’s wedding bands and showing me a few awesome bands. No pressure at all and we had fun! Looking forward to going back before they close their doors (which we wish they weren’t!).
