Where to start? This person has no idea what he's doing and should not be a doctor. During my ER visit last year, I came in with severe abdominal pain (which had been recurring for 3+ years at this point) and vomited four+ times on-site at the hospital, and he described me in his report/assessment as being in "mild distress" and as having vomited once. It was said in his report that I was feeling better by the end of his assessment, but that is just an absolute bald-faced lie (pretty certain he just didn't want to deal with me). His report also said that though this issue was recurring, I denied ever having experienced vomiting with it in the past which is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE IN THE SLIGHTEST. I told him that my flare ups often came with incredibly intense vomiting, yet he wrote down the exact opposite. At one point, he asked if I felt the pain more in my front or my back. I answered honestly that I felt it more in the front, and he just says, "Well, it's probably not your kidney." SPOILER ALERT: IT WAS MY KIDNEY. He pretty much decided to totally rule out this possibility simply because I didn't feel it in my back enough. During his examination, upon learning that I use a certain green recreational substance, he latched onto that piece of info and misdiagnosed me with cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. I expressed my doubts multiple times and told him I thought it was something else, and his response was, "Well, it's more common than you'd think." Then I was sent on my way with no relief and no useful information regarding my condition. Later on when I read his report, I was fuming when I found out when he chalked up everything I was going through to "cannabis use disorder" Oh, and did I mention that I was not informed of the effects of the meds they gave me and was allowed to drive home?? About half of the way back to my place, I began to feel incredibly disoriented and woozy, but I thankfully made it home safely. It wasn't until I arrived home and googled the effects of hyoscyamine that I learned that you aren't supposed to operate vehicles or machinery after taking it. HOW IN GOD'S NAME WAS I NOT INFORMED OF THIS BEFORE BEING SENT HOME?!? Not only was I misdiagnosed and given the runaround, but my safety, my wellbeing, and my very life were put at risk as well. After this AWFUL experience, I would go on to discover through subsequent medical probing that I had hydronephrosis in my left kidney. There was an artery wrapped around my ureter, causing my kidney to swell up like a balloon with urine, making me feel like my insides were going to explode. It's been many months since my ER visit, and I had surgery to correct this issue back in December. I'm currently feeling better than ever, no thanks to "Dr." Scott Irvine. This man is an absolute bozo and a quack. I would strongly advise against ever listening to a word of medical advice from this buffoon.
