I have been looking at purchasing a new gmc truck for a while now. My good friend purchased his truck from Adam and Kris and told me they were great to deal with. The way they talked to me on the phone made me comfortable enough to take the drive out to Athens Ga although I live in South Carolina! Even though they did not have in stock the exact truck I was looking for. I arrived at 8:30am, drove 2 different trucks. Loved them both but I really wanted a combination of what both trucks had as far as options and colors. While we were going over the equipment each truck had, Kris says hold on a second, I think we have a truck inbound that has everything on it you want. Sure enough, exactly what I was looking for was sitting on the train. I immediately ask them to run the numbers for me and it was done! I filled out an application and was approved in a few minutes. My wife and I came back a few days later and picked it up! We absolutely love our new truck and would highly recommend Adam and Kris. My favorite part of the transaction is that Kris sits right in the middle of the showroom with the salesman and he is the general manager of the dealership who makes all the final decisions. Absolutely horrific experience! DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE. My wife and I bought a 2020 Suburban here less than 3 months ago it was a fair price so we overlooked the finance manager using less than ideal sales tactics blurting our sensitive information across the showroom and trying to way overcharge for warranty.A little over a week later it showed low coolant on the dash so I added coolant thinking nothing of it, it had just been through an inspection were my thoughts,until I had to replace the brakes a month later. I took it in thinking it must be a minor thing like a leaking hose or radiator, unfortunately it was a blown head gasket, a several thousand dollar fix. I reached out to the General Manager hoping for some good will seeing as we just got it and all I received was a cold shoulder and rude remarks! Please don’t make a mistake here!

Tracey with the GMC service is nothing short of amazing. We purchased my husband's truck from the Jimmy Britt dealership less than a year ago and thankfully decided to buy an extended warranty on the truck. After 3 weeks of having the truck the transmission started skipping, we took it to Jimmy Britt 6 times and they said they could not find an issue. We called and scheduled an appointment with Hayward Allen GMC and got in touch with Tracey. The amazing transmission tech came back there were multiple things wrong with the transmission. Tracey worked with our extended warranty company and found out the truck needed a new transmission. Tracey sent me updated text messages throughout the entire process and was extremely helpful in every way. In a very stressful situation, Tracey made sure to handle the hard work of dealing with the warranty company and adjusters till the job was completed and we were able to get the truck back and it's driving great! If you're having any issues with your GMC transmission or need service I highly recommend Hayward Allen Motor Co. Their transmission guy and Tracey. Thank you all so much and God Bless!

I feel sorry for anyone who purchases a vehicle from this dealership and expect them to honor a warranty with a quick turnaround. Apparently when a transmission goes out to no fault of the person owning the vehicle, they take their time trying to get it fixed. A 2024 Silverado truck with less than 50,000 miles on it and the transmission fails. They have had the truck for over 2 months, first the holdup was whether or not they wanted to rebuild or replace the transmission. Apparently, they decided on option 2 but are now saying they don't have a transmission to replace it with. Furthermore, I'm being told they don't know when they will get one. I don't know about anyone else but if you buy a brand-new truck and are unfortunate enough to have a mechanical failure you would hope to have this fixed in a relatively quick time frame. I guess you're also expected to make the payments on the vehicle that you can't drive regardless, not to mention finding another means of transportation. This is not a great way to run a business as far as I'm concerned, but hey I guess as long as it doesn't affect them than it's of no concern. Just wanted to throw this out there for anyone who might want to know how the warranty end of the business is run. Extremely frustrated at the moment!! If there was an option to not give a star I would have not left one.
