I guess I picked a good day to try a counter service biscuit. Last time I got a grab-n-go premade biscuit and it was just ok, but a coworker told me I should order at the counter. I asked the worker what I need to order today, and he (David) asked what looked good in front of me right now and what I normally order elsewhere. Then he said oh I got you, you’re gonna like this! He made a fried pork loin (what I pointed at) biscuit with bacon egg, cheese, and a little bit of gravy on it! He said “this one is a masterpiece, you’ll be back tomorrow.” It was really good! I just might be back tomorrow, if I can work off those calories. Thanks David! A little charm and pride in your work are rare and not expected in food service these days.

CUSTOMERS SERVICE IS EVERYTHING WHEN IT COMES TO BEING A SERVER This store breakfast kitchen was closed for a while after the pandemic. Now that they have finally got it back up and running. They hired these disrespectful kids to work who talk and say whatever to the customers. Then the Assistant manager tries to threaten to ban from the store for me saying whatever I feel. So to nip it in the butt, I refuse to spend another cent in this store. Just thread lightly when visiting this store. FAIR WARNING!!

I give the 4 stars for breakfast always good! varied meat choices. Lunch to much spices in the greens and string beans, too hot for my taste buds, otherwise good, a decent good meal is highly probable if you’re not watching calories.

Tobacco products always out of stock.( example chose three brands all out of stock) I gave three stars for nice people and good customer service.

The biscuits use to be priced pretty decently, but now they're too expensive, and too many folks buying them up. It's got to be good ole fashioned American supply and demand! I now go to BK for its biscuit and tater tots, instead.

Used to stop in for a quick coffee as a way to start the day or to get a beer as an afternoon walk. It's close to two transit lines--the #7 at Whitehead Rd. and the #8 across Old Jefferson Rd. near the Family Dollar. The conditions for walking can be a bit up and down, so haven't done this in a while. To be a five I think it could do to have some store renovations, a seating area and some "green upgrades" like bike parking, a solar array or ev charging. Overall the rating has to do with the lack of seating and walking conditions having become more of a drag. Not sure what local businesses can do to advocate for an easier walk to and from?
