We bought a brand new IMac desktop computer over 18 Days ago and paid for the $179.99 for Best Buy Total membership- our account has been messed up since day one and after multiple contacts to Geek Squad support, each time being assured the problem has been fixed and to wait a few days, it is still incorrect. Apparently each time we have contacted them they have created a new account for us and now we have several accounts which need to be merged and they have failed to fix the issue. We can't use our membership until this is fixed and there's no way to reach anyone competent. If they are a tech-support and can't fix their own online issues for an account how are they going to fix an actual problem with my computer or any other device that I purchased there?? This has been the worst experience ever with no accountability no apology no response from anyone at Best Buy as to why this has not been corrected. Every time I call I get a different reason or answer as to why this account is wrong and the problem has only gotten worse! This is unacceptable! I am so sorry I actually purchased this and should've gone with AppleCare. And now I don't even know if it's too late because it's been beyond the time since I purchased the computer to get it.

The power supply in my wife's computer died. I replaced it, but the computer didn't turn on. After checking it into Geek Squad, the agent (Ethan) determined it was a simple error as reseating all the wires powered it on. The total turn-around time from check-in to pick-up was four days. We needed an appointment for check-in but not during pick-up. Agents were communicative and knowledgeable during the entire process.

i spoke with a female associate named ROSE while trying to set up a geek squad appointment. this was my worst interaction with anyone from BEST BUY or geek squad. her dialect made it nearly impossible to understand any word she said. i requested a supervisor several times before i got help. she did not want to let me speak to a supervisor. terrible, terrible. she does not need to be speaking to the customers. billie j. tribble i

Brought out computer to them to install a motherboard. Ended up having to get a different motherboard because the one we had bought wasn't compatible with our tower and a new fan to go with it just because the original fan wasn't compatible with the new motherboard. They kept us updated through its progress and told us about the motherboard issue and the fan issue as soon as they knew and were very informative about what was needed. Only issue was when we got our tower back the fan was extremely loud and the computer wasn't connected to a large chunk of the storage. We brought it back and they owned up to their mistake and fixed it. Overall a positive experience. Also great customer service from the employees in store and the employees over the phone.

Took my computer in for a screen issue while it was still under warranty. They sent it off 3 weeks ago, and I checked yesterday and saw it was ready. Had to schedule an appointment for pickup just to be told that they weren’t able to work on the laptop and i that I needed to call acer customer service directly. No one ever called with an update, so this was a surprise. So basically my wife (who is in school) and I have wasted 3 weeks for them to do nothing.

This has been the worst experience ever! DO NOT PURCHASE GEEK SQUAD services with your appliances. I would even go as far as to say do not purchase your washer or dryers from Best buy. I purchased a washer less than 4 years ago with Geek Squad protection. The washer started malfunctioning so I placed a service call. I was told the machine could not be fixed and would have to be exchanged. My original machine is a 4.2cu Whirlpool. After speaking with many agents (and being told different information on each call) I was told I would have to either a. pay more money b. settle for a Hotpoint, or take store credit. This defeats the whole purpose of a protection plan, if I wanted a cheaper brand, I would've purchased it originally. If I wanted a smaller washer I would have purchased one originally. Get your appliances from Lowes, the service is much better!

This is the absolute WORST experience I have ever had with Best Buy. Geek Squad took $270 of my money only to turn around three days later to tell me they couldn’t fix my computer because the logic board was fried. I ended up taking it to Apple only to find out it was a simple software issue that could have easily been fixed. PLEASE do not let these people scam you out of your money. Never again.

Would give 0 stars if it would let me. With that being said I visited this store to buy an iPhone, apparently I didn’t come early enough for the sales associates to do their job. I arrived at 6pm and was told that they don’t do “activations” after 6pm whatever that means. Well after talking with a manager he reluctantly agreed to “allow” (in his own words) me to purchase it. All the while he keeps mentioning the time and mind you they don’t close until 8pm and seemed way over staffed. He finally logs into the system and finally asks what phone I would like and tells another person to go and get it. Waited for about 30 minutes for her to finally get back up to The counter. Wrong carrier is what the manager tells her and she has to go back again. By the time she gets back up there and we get it all sorted out to start, it 7:45 and he says his computer won’t allow him to proceed…….. needless to say I was peeved and just plain out mad, I wouldn’t recommend going into this store if you actually want to buy anything as it seems you are more than a burden than a customer 0 out of 5 Won’t be returning

I spent yesterday evening with Geek Squad to update a refurbished computer. Teresa was extremely helpful and personable. Even though the particular issue I had was a bit time consuming, it went by quickly thanks to her friendliness and engagement.

Huge shout out to Brian! I brought my phone in needing the screen replaced. It was covered under Apple care and was replaced free of charge in a timely manor which was very important to me!
