Don’t recommend for a bow shop. I know for a fact I could do better at fletching an arrow having never done it. Just a sloppy mess. They “paper tuned” my bow and it’s worse than when I brought it in

I used to drive 2 hours each way to go to Franklins. I loved to see the used rifles and shotguns. My brother went with me a couple of times. We loved Franklins. I bought several guns there. Great store!

HUGE shout out for the incredible customer service received from Franklin Gun Shop! I recently became aware that one of my late grandfather's long hunting guns had been sold to Franklin. I do not live in Athens, so - in a panic - I called the store and was told that the gun was still there. I explained the situation. A mutually agreed upon price was agreed to over the phone that was good for all involved and they pulled it off the shelf. I then traveled to Franklin and retrieved the gun - keeping it in the family. They had even cleaned it up for me! I am forever grateful - thanks, guys!

Their inventory and selection are quite nice, but, their customer service has been atrocious for the 10+ years that I’ve come in and visited. It has ranged from an employee giving incorrect legal information on guns (he said a 16” rifle with a stock was a pistol because it fired 9mm rounds. He refused to let me look at it thusly because I was 19 at the time), to employees just not wanting to offer to show guns to me. There have been multiple times where I’ve just decided to go to Clyde Armory instead to buy something. Please, owner/management, if you’re reading this: teach and enforce interpersonal communication skills amongst your employees. I really want to like your business and want to buy more from you but the experiences I’ve had have left a terrible taste in my mouth.

Everytime i go to the store i am greeted with friendly smile. Staff answer my silly question, if they don't know the answer they are upfront with it. Price are definitely cheaper then lots of other places. I've bought some guns (not disclosing how many). And I am happy with my purchase. Hack the owner of the store gave me 2 extra baretta 92 magazines with my purchase. I don't know what else can u expect. I read some reviews. I disagree with some bad reviewers. I love this store.

Needed my crossbow string replaced had to order one but they installed it on the spot. Always great customer service whether it's with guns, fishing gear or hunting gear top-notch service.

Dont go there. I've been going to this store since 1990. Admittedly, I haven't been in this store since 2010 but I went into the store 2 weeks ago when driving to S.C. There is now less inventory and there is no longer a wall of used guns I can inspect. I've spent thousands of dollars there over the years, especially on the tax sales day after Christmas. They will not last much longer, unfortunately. They have way too many employees hanging out and acting like "experts", plus I was ignored by the "knowledgeable" kids working the pistol counter. Which I found out was a blessing because the prices were well over 25% markup over acceptable consumer prices and I couldn't negotiate. Which was never the case in the past. I've given them one strategy to improve their business, but that wont save them.
