I have been shopping at Fook’s Foods for 10 years, starting back when they were off Baxter Street. I was so glad when they moved to this Milledge Avenue spot. It’s a bigger location and there is plenty of parking. Karen, the owner, is very helpful and also very blunt. I’ve appreciated that through the years. She’s very honest about her opinions and her recommendations. I go shopping there probably two or three times a month. A few of the things I always buy are 25 lb bags of rice, rice paper, oyster sauce, dumplings, wontons, yu choi, and Asian candies. During this time of Covid, I’ve been so glad they have stayed open. I have never seen anyone without a mask in the store. Few people would probably want to make Karen chastise them though. Hah! There is a barrier between the cashier and customer, as well as marked spots on the floor for waiting. They’ve done a great job keeping everyone safe.

I like this market but probably won't be on my regular rotation. The squid salad in the refrigerated section is stellar! It did not have some of the veggies I normally buy in Asian markets.

Has a variety of ingredients for Asian people. Also good price. But you need to check expiration date. In addition, please check the price tag and price on the receipt because sometimes their system will charge you over price.

Fooks Foods have been in business since 2003. I started visiting back in 2006 when they were on Baxter St. I am happy to see the store grow and find its current location. It has quite a varied selection of Asian food. Really enjoy the ladoos, gulab jamun, and red bean pastries. Their price of the fresh produce is reasonable and it’s really good. I enjoy the little bananas. The Asian pears are delicious. I'm so excited that Karen Fooks gets local eggs from Creekline Farms. These eggs are rich and tasty.
