I am aware that FedEx in general is a terrible company overall, but I was hoping that the individual stores would fare better. I was wrong unfortunately, this company needs some serious overhauling. We live in a rural area, but we don’t live where you need a horse to get to us. We live off of a main road. Well FedEx drivers decide whether or not they want to look for our address or not if they feel like it. One week we’ll get a FedEx delivery with no issue, the next week they can’t find us and the package is undeliverable. We had a very important package for our brand new stove in our new build and were told a bulletin would be sent our last Wednesday to be delivered. They called back and said we could pick it up, but next day the driver would bring it if we couldn’t come to their store 35 min away. We wait, today is Monday and still no package. Meanwhile we received another large order shipped via FedEx on Saturday. What gives with this company, I try now to make sure before ordering anything if FedEx is the shipper. Because I just don’t want the aggravation.

My overnight priority package was accidentally not scanned before it was loaded on the truck. I went to the Athens shipping center, and explained the issue and they could not have been more helpful. They put out a bulletin to the drivers and told me if I could be nearby when the trucks return for the day, then they would let me know ASAP when the package was located. I am so thankful to those nice people as I was very worried about this because it was a live animal shipment. Getting my refund from FedEx was another issue altogether. My advice there is be persistent and don't give up.

I have been trying for several years to get my deliveries left by my garage door, instead of my front porch where they are visible for all who drive by my house. I indicated my preference on the FedEx website, I’ve spoken with 2 of the drivers, & have filed 2 complaints at customer service number. Each time I was told that the person I was speaking with had sent a message to the Athens office while I held. Most of my deliveries are heavy boxes of pet food or cat litter. I must use a walker to get around, so it is very difficult for me to get these items moved from my front porch to garage. It would be so much easier for the driver to just drive to garage and unload. I am home bound, so could drag the items inside the garage as soon as I get notification of delivery. What does it take????

Always having problems with them but never have the same issues with other shipping companies. They will have the expected delivery time from 10am-2pm. We have watched this happen numerous times: the driver will be right down the road for a while delivering at other locations and then drive by our house and not deliver the package. They have driven past it twice in one day before and still not delivered… the next day the driver even mentioned “I was supposed to drop this yesterday but I had some stuff come up…” one time is annoying enough, but it’s literally EVERY time with FedEx.

I’m sure writing a review makes no difference to a corporation like this, but why not? My floristry business has been severely inconvenienced and even lost money thanks to them. Flower shipments from any company always use FedEx, unfortunately, and I have learned that there is a 50/50 chance that it will arrive on time. 50/50? That is unacceptable! Especially on a perishable good. The latest instance is that we had specialty flowers set to arrive Friday. They went out in the truck, sat in the truck all day, and then were not delivered. Instead, I was told that they would now be delivered Monday. Well, that doesn’t work since my photoshoot is SUNDAY, not to mention that flowers can’t sit in a box in a warehouse all weekend. I shudder to think about all the live animals shipped and left in the warehouse over the weekend just because a driver clocked out before the deliveries were done. I digress. Now, the photoshoot is canceled and either I will lose the full price of the flowers (which cannot be reshipped, it was a limited item, plus it’s too late now anyway) or the farm will have to reimburse me and lose money themselves. How is that fair? All because of a company that does not care about its customers. Oh, and the drivers always leave the boxes leaned vertically against the wall (in the cases that they do actually feel like delivering), so the flowers are smashed and bruised half the time. Thanks for repeatedly screwing over a small business!

Terrible experience with this facility. I had a delivery I was waiting for that required a signature. They attempted multiple times to deliver to me, however they only came to my house between 1-3 pm for each attempt. I refused to sign the door tag because it said they were not liable if anything happened to my package once they left it. On the FedEx app I requested delivery after 5pm. Each deliver attempt said they would try again the next day by 8 pm. They never attempted to deliver at a more reasonable time for people that work. I called the 1 800 number for FedEx and they could not assist me. Someone from the Athens FedEx store called me on Wednesday. I explained my dilemma. They did not offer to deliver at a later time to meet my request, but did say they would hold it at their facility until Monday 4/28/2025 for me to pick it up. That person told me the hours they would be open for me to pick up my package. I arrived at their business at 10:45am this morning to be told that they returned my package to the shipper. I showed her the number on my phone and explained that someone there said they would hold my package. She said she saw the message to hold the package now, but didn’t notice it yesterday when she sent my package back to the shipper. I feel sorry for anyone who has to use this facility.

Delivered my package to the wrong address. They submitted a picture that wasn’t my front porch and I immediately contacted after I got the delivery confirmation message. All they did was submit some useless ticket and then email me a few days later saying they couldn’t retrieve the package. I even talked to the fedex delivery driver the same day when he stopped at our drive way on his route AFTER HE ALREADY DELIVERED THE PACKAGE TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. He said he didn’t have our package which I already knew becauseee IT WAS DELIVERED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. I showed him the picture of the delivery and told him that my package was delivered but the picture submitted wasn’t my house. He apologized and said he would retrieve the package and deliver it the next day, this obviously did not happen. It was legit a queen mattress in a box. To whoever got my package I hope it’s comfy. :,) And to Athens FedEx you lowkey suck for that man.

Too bad service. Just too bad. They damaged my lab samples and hold for few days which was meant to be overnight express delivery. Ruined my project !! STAY AWAY FROM FedEx. Use other service
