I’ve been coming here for three years now. I am very happy with the care I get, the attentiveness and the ease of making appts. I read the review that complained it took too long to get an appt. The practice is popular and it does take a while to get in as a new patient. My first appt was 53 weeks in advance. Yes - a year and a week. 😱😱 Go ahead and accept it then ask to get on a cancellation list. They called me in after 5 months and I’ve been here since. Dr Anthony has a stellar rep and I really wanted to get in his practice. With their guidance and medications I took my A1c from 8-9 to 5.6 my last test a couple weeks ago. I’ve lost about 30lbs and feel better than I have in a long time. They offered me an appt for dietary guidance and it was very helpful. I had been diagnosed 18 years by then but I learned some good info in that class. I’ve never had any difficulty with any staff; they’ve all been as sweet as pie. Once I didn’t have the right amount to pay my bill (self pay) and they let me run down to the kwickie mart and buy a snack to get change. I told them I liked it there and sure wasn’t going to run off and lose my place in the practice for $90. No way!! If you are looking for an endocrinologist don’t hesitate to visit Endocrinology of Athens. I’m very satisfied with the care I get.

Dr. Cotten is very thorough and listens to everything you have to say. She is very patient and kind. I walked away with confidence which is sometimes hard to find nowadays. I felt very comfortable with her game plan moving forward. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and sweet.

I was referred to Dr Anthony by my cardiologist. I have to say from the time I walked in the door to leaving my experience was extremely pleasant. Everyone was professional and polite. Dr Anthony actually took the time to listen to everything I had to say. He was extremely thorough with his explanation of exactly what his diagnosis was. Dr Cotton was extremely thorough and did a great job of explaining why I was referred and her recommended course of care. She listened carefully to my concerns and answered all of my questions in easy to understand language. I felt she genuinely cared for me as her patient and took full ownership of my care. She followed up with me overnight through MyChart to share lab results and allay any concerns I might have had. I wish all of my doctors were that attentive.

Dr Cotton was amazing to see as someone who has been having diabetic issues for a few years. She took time to actually talk to me and explain herself.
