As a 90 yo, I fell and broke my left hip. Dr. Dorris did a complete hip replacement. Honestly, I have had no problems with his surgery. Everyone, including hospital PT’s, have been amazed at how quickly I recovered. I convinced them to let me leave hospital a day early. Dr. Dorris has been so understanding, polite, and professional. Thank you again, Dr Dorris.

The staff and dr. Dorris were very kind and considerate and very professional. I didn't have to wait very long at all to go back and get xrays and then see and meet Dr Dorris. He didn't find anything on the xray, so they will proceed with the next phase by getting an mri. The mri dept. has already called me to let me know how much I will have to pay when I get my mri next week. I am very satisfied with Athens Orthopedic Clinic. All of the Dr's that I have dealt with there have been exceptional!

Easy to find and park. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Radiology was quick and efficient. My Doctor was easy to speak with, explained my situation and gave me my options for treatment with compassion and expertise. My surgery was booked and I had my answers same day. Very caring, efficient and easy to navigate. Way to go team.

Dr. Dorris is a excellent surgeon! I am so glad I chose him to do my shoulder rotor cuff surgery, with his knowledge, expertise and wonderful bed side manner the out come was great! He worked with my physical therapy to complete a plan for me to return to work part time while regaining my strength and stamina. I would highly recommend him and his group at Athens Orthopedic Clinic in Athens for knee, back or shoulder surgery when you need the best in the business!

Dr. Doris took the time to figure out the true source of my hip pain. It is my back. It would have been easy for him to concentrate on the hip I came in for as opposed to finding the true reason. Best part is, he not even a spine doctor.

Dr. Dorris is so busy with patients that he doesn't know when you have an allergy to the medications he wants to prescribe you listed in your chart, and WILL give them to you even after you've said you're allergic to them to his face and explained exactly what the allergic reactions are. Pain management is a joke, even when you directly ask what other medications are available due to your allergies. Ibuprofen doesn't touch the pain if the gabapentin you're already taking for other conditions can't help. If you don't need surgery, go somewhere else. People I know who needed knee surgery have said he's great; I don't see it. Is it medical misogyny, ageism, racism, insurance provider-ism, etc? I don't know. No one returns my calls no matter how many messages I leave, and when I tell him that to his face, the apology given is anything but sincere.
