There was a lady named Dee working about 30 min ago at the Cedar Shoals location. This store can be a little awkward but she made it worth the trip. She was a pleasant woman. Very kind and made me feel like she values every customer. I always try to leave good reviews when they are due.

The manager was fussing at the cashier telling her she needed to, “learn how to count” for accidentally ringing in 8 items instead of 6 (simple mistake). I then had a question about why something wasn’t ringing up half price even though the sticker said it was part of the 50% off clearance event. She had to go get the manager again and the manager was not happy she had to come help me again. The manager then blatantly lied to me saying it was half price even though I knew it wasn’t because I’ve been buying these products for years from DG. The cashier asked if I wanted to void the product but I didn’t want her to have to get the manager again and get fussed at so I just said no it’s okay. No manager should make the cashier or customer feel that way.

Good if nothing else is open I guess, but the audacity of being called Dollar General and having some of the highest prices in town is gross. There's absolutely no reason to choose Dollar General over any other chain lol

I totally understand it's the holidays but this store is a complete mess. The shelves are empty because of all the products on the floor. And the conversation the staff was having was not appropriate at the front of the store. I could have done without the profanity and inappropriate language. I feel someone from corporate should do a visit. Sooner than later.

Yeah I know they must have owner or management problems, and I can't fault them for that, but I have experienced some of the best in customer service here, the cashier's are so so helpful and courteous, I'm getting a bit elderly, and on several occasions when it's raining they have helped me to my car with my bags. They are always helpful in finding anything for you. I love these people and wish they were compensated better financially. I'm in here several times a week, sometimes twice in a day.

I shop here frequently, at least once a week. They have a lot of interesting things they sell, that range from clothes, to food, to yummy snacks, and things like office supplies, vitamins, other medical things, like bandages, and they have other stuff too. Always an interesting experience when I go there. The staff are very helpful, and don't hesitate to give you a friendly smile and hello. Great place. I'd recommend it.

This store used to be nice, but for more than half a year now it's been a disaster zone. The store is filthy. Nothing is ever stocked. They have their carts that they are supposed to be stocking from blocking a lot of the aisles. Some of the employees act inappropriately for a place of work (there was an employee with a group of friends just hanging out and eating cheese dip at the register last time my husband went in and someone smoking in the doorway [I know there's stuff for you to be doing because the shelves are practically empty. This isn't your house. Go do some work]... I saw another cashier beat some kid up the week before that. Not on the clock, but right across the street in plain view of the storefront). I live really close by, but I'm not going to continue to shop here until they get their store in line. It's beyond ridiculous. Get it together Dollar General.

Good place to grab something in a pinch. The aisle I needed something from was very unorganized, with items scattered all about. An employee and manager were in the aisle behind me complaining about other employees, which I find unpleasant and unprofessional. I had a 5 minute wait to check out, which seems to be the norm for Dollar General's. If you found this review helpful, please give it a thumbs up! Thanks!

This is a nice place to go if you need a few things and don't feel like hiking one of the larger grocery stores. Dry goods and some refrigerated and frozen foods are available, along with the standard items found in a discount store. Clean and well-lighted.
