Dr Durden and his staff are awesome!!! I don’t know how long my jaw has been out of socket, it was becoming very painful to eat and I couldn’t open my mouth. My dentist referred me to Dental Sleep Medicine of Athens and there Dr Durden gave me his plan and it was great. Today my jaw is back where it is suppose to be and I am pain free . TMJ is nothing to play around with I didn’t realize how it affected your whole body .. I highly recommend the Dental Sleep Medicine of Athens !!!

Dr. Durden and all his staff were professional, expedient, amiable, and caring. I was treated like family. Dr Durden and his staff are the most pleasant and helpful group to work with. I am a 44 female and didn't have the obvious symptoms of apnea, so I was in the dark for a long time about why I felt so tired and often experienced brain fog. I did a sleep study that confirmed apnea and went to see Dr Durden for treatment. They are passionate about what they do and did a thorough job helping me understand how apnea negatively impacts day to day life and overall health. I was unsure after such a long time without answers that their treatment would have a profound impact, but I feel back to my normal , energetic self. It is a huge relief to know that apnea can be addressed in such a simple way , and I am most thankful that they address the root cause versus simply managing symptoms. Dr Durden and staff are great. I struggled with the idea of moving from a TAP3 to EVO. The team did a great job explaining its advantages and my benefits/coverages. I have now been using the EVO for 6 weeks and the comfort and fit are superior in fit and sleep experience. I highly recommend patients seriously consider the change. Hats off to the team! Dr. Durden is not only a talented dentist, he is also an amazing dental sleep specialist. I never slept over two hours without getting up and never felt rested in the morning. Dr. Durden encouraged me to be checked for sleep apnea. I was dubious because I don't snore often, and he fully explained what sleep apnea is, and it's more than loud snoring. He and his wonderful staff have very patiently worked with me for a year and here are the results: I sleep longer, feel amazing and energetic in the morning, the foot and leg cramps have stopped and no more morning congestion (which was bad). All this and no CPAP! It is so important to give the body time to rest and heal! If you're not sleeping well, I highly recommend a visit to Dental Sleep Medicine of Athens in Winterville.

Dr. Durden and his whole team are absolutely fantastic! I’m a young woman with sleep apnea, and he made it possible for me to ditch my bulky CPAP machine. I paid out of pocket and 6 months later I can fully say it was worth it. He spent a lot of time with me during the first appointment to understand my needs and recommend the right appliance. His staff were so kind and bent over backwards trying to help me with paperwork, prescriptions, etc. Once I had my appliance the follow up and care was great and much needed to help ease me into the transition. I honestly can’t say enough good things. If you want a CPAP alternative, this is the place! It’s been so nice to travel and not have to carry it all over. Now I just bring the equivalent of a retainer!

After having a TAP for 10 years and it worked, I am now thrilled to say the new system Pro Somnus is wonderful. Fit is better, much more comfortable. I sleep even better than before, can talk, the only way it could be better would be a cure for sleep apnea. Thanks
