Highly recommend Dr. Ryan and his staff. Dr Ryan did an excellent job on my total knee replacement. My PT therapist was very complimentary too, on the job he did. Not an easy recovery at first, but by 3 mos you are doing pretty good, if you keep up with your PT and home exercises. This is the second surgery I had done by Dr. Ryan. My first was a meniscus tear on my left knee about 3 years ago and it has done great!!! Looking for a good orthopedic surgeon for your knees, I would highly recommend Dr.Ryan.Thanks Dr. Ryan for a great job done.

Today was just an appointment to see what the next step in my knee repair will be, it turned out I am a knee replacement candidate, the doctor was kind, information and very positive, I liked hi a lot, I have not had the surgery yet, still report after the repair, I like that he is leaving it up to me to decide when the time is best to undergo the procedure.

I recently, as well as my wife, have both recently had surgical procedures at Athens Orthopedics for wear and tear issues involving the hip and knee. These procedures were both done by Dr. Ryan at their facility. We are satisfied with the care extended by the facility staff, both from the front office to the medical professionals. It has been very efficient starting at the front door thru the individual services. Follow-up care, In spite of the amount of patient traffic that daily runs through their facility we found it to be efficient and well scheduled with very little wasted time for the patients. While my wife continues recovery I have had issues with my knee surgery as I’m now 3 1/2 months past surgery on a simple meniscus procedure and experiencing issues which no one seems to have an explanation as to why and what is causing the issues such as pain and extreme swelling in my knee and foot and the solution to resolve it. This has given me concern as why they have no concern for a resolution to date.

Check-in via computer was easy, wait time less than 5 minutes. Waited a little longer in the exam room, but once Dr. Ryan came in, he was pleasant, attentive, thorough and answered all my questions.
