Dr. Daniel S. Thomas is without doubt an exceptional spine specialist, pain management specialist, and anesthesiologist. He has been treating my back pain for the past five and a half years. His treatments are painless and the benefits immediate and long lasting: in fact, I walk pain free within minutes of the procedure. Getting relief from the pain has considerably improved the quality of my life: if it weren't for Dr. Thomas' treatments, I would not be able to walk. I am immensely grateful for his amazing help. In addition, the Athens Spine Center provides a pleasant environment, being well kept and very clean; the waiting room is spacious and comfortable, the most welcoming I have seen in a doctor’s office.

I have been going to Athens Spine Center, Dr. Daniel Thomas, for at least four + years. I love the office personnel - their professionalism, genuine care for patients, and friendliness. As to Dr. Thomas, he’s the best, most caring doctor I have ever had. His concern for my health and well-being is genuine. He continually reviews my pain management to see if he can improve the procedures and/or location of injections to make it better. As well as questions regarding my overall health. I don’t feel like “just a number” when I go to the Athens Spine Center - I’m a real person they care about.

His staff, both office and technical, are always pleasant and patient. I'm seeing Dr. Thomas for several problems in my spine and my hip and his recommendations have all been helpful for extended relief of the pain I was experiencing. I've just been through my first round of RF therapy. Be advised that no matter where you go, if you have RF therapy, the insurance requirements make it a drawn out process. But Dr Thomas will help you in the meantime.

My only complaint is having to answer the same questions on the tablet check in every time I get there for an appointment.

Dr.Thomas is the most caring doctor that I have ever seen. He takes the time to get to know you and makes you feel like you matter unlike most doctors these days. He spends time with you and goes over options with you and lets you know what he feels is best for you. I honestly can say he treats you like family! I drive an hour every month and I don’t mind a bit because I know that I am going to see a doctor that cares about me and my well-being!

Dr. Thomas is a wonderful doctor. He has excellent bedside manner. He’s the kind of doctor that you meet for the first time and feel like you’ve known him for years. I trust him and feel that he is genuinely concerned about his patients. He always seeks out options to provide the best possible care for his patients. Given an opportunity to see another physician, I would probably opt to wait until he’s available.

All the Staff at Athens Spine are personable and efficient. I was a patient of Dr. Megdal for 10 years and now Dr. Thomas is my Doctor. He has a very good "bedside manner" and takes up a lot of time with his patients. He stays abreast of the latest knowledge in the field of pain management and spinal problems.
