My motivation for seeking Dr. Doerr to prevent further problems with spinal scoliosis. When Doerr looked at my x-rays, he found a cancerous tumor in my right lung that had been missed by others. Doerr ordered another x-ray and before I got the results, he has lined up the best pulmonologist in town and the best oncologist in the southeast to see me.

Dr. Doerr has to be the best doctor and all round good person. Never ever have I been to a doctor who sat us down and had every MRI, CT done the last 7 yrs. And went over each image with my husband & I. We left there in shock. Not only did he refer me to a highly rated neurosurgeon but before my appointment they got together to discuss my case. Never heard of such a thing. He does this with all his patients. Didn’t mention the Neurosurgeon he teams up with, since this is Dr. Doer’s comments. But he’s a very conscientious doctor as well. He didn’t rush us, we were so shocked at the time he spent. I’d have to say that I felt like sending him a thank you card, that’d have been a first. It’s a wait to get in, but that’s a good sign that he’s a good doctor and human being.😊 Cathy Griffith

Dr. Doerr sees a family member of mine who has an extensive health history but is neuro divergent and finds it anxiety inducing and difficult to speak to doctors. Dr. Doerr was one of the first persons to listen to my family member and to diagnose him with something that was easy to test for but literally no one else thought to do an Xray from the side view to see a spine deformity not apparent from a 1 view XRay of his Cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. This family member did PT and continued seeing him. After an absence due to school and life getting in the way he was referred back to Dr. Doerr but there was a long wait as he was considered a new patient at this point again which is reasonable considering the time that lapsed. His PCP did a ton of imaging prior because she is very thorough which Dr. Doerr read the CDs of and he ordered even more imaging too. He took my family member seriously and has referred him to other specialist to treat the source of his pain/problems instead of dismissing him based off of his shyness or difficulty speaking to healthcare professionals. I was so worried about my family member having a good doctor to go to up here in Athens and was concerned he would have to drive down here to Orlando to see physical med/sports med/ortho like he does with his amazing pcp (Dr. Naziha Slimani who is absolutely incredible at the college of medicine). It is honestly such a huge relief having Dr. Doerr and I am so thankful to have someone in Athens I can trust to treat my family member with the best care. I am jealous and wish he practiced down here too so I could see him.

Dr. Doerr is not only great in his specialty, he is an exceptional diagnostician, recognizing some unidentified complicating factors and referring us to other specialists for follow up. I am eternally grateful for the word-of-mouth referral that initially sent us to him and the excellent physical therapy. He is a real partner in recovery.

Dr. Doerr is a genius when it comes to your full body’s health balance and well-being. He doesn’t stop until he gets to the bottom of what is wrong, he makes a great plan for your rehab, then he has a well trained professional staff of PT’s that carry out the rehab plans that he has for you!! You can’t go wrong with this group. Successful healing is waiting there for you!!

Dr. Doerr was not personally responsible but the program of weight lifting injured me and then I was not treated for the injury. It has plagued me for many years despite anything I do. Massage is a daily have to. If you are a woman, do not allow them to control how much weight you use. My life is hell. I'm unable to use my upper body and arms due to trauma and extreme arthritis from heavy weight. I was 50 yrs old at the time. Small boned. Should never have been made to lift heavy weight. My life sucks now. Even though the doctor didn't break me his plan of action did. He insisted on heavy weight. Nothing was tailored. Heavy weight. Low reps. I pray that has changed. For the sake of small bones.
