Kind and friendly staff, always accommodating and good at communicating. Parking lot is a bit intimidating at times, but they manager their appointments well enough that parking has never been an issue and there has always been a spot to park. Been going here for years, even before it changed to Reddy Medical, and I've never had any complaints.

I had been a patient at the Dowdy Road office with Dr. Carr for a year or two. At first I had insurance, then I didn’t and I had to cash pay, and then I qualified for Georgia Medicaid because my daughter also did. I had an appointment scheduled 90 days in advance for 4/2 and arrived at the Dowdy Road office on time. When I went to provide my CareSource info, the receptionist informed me that the Dowdy Road office does not accept Medicaid for adults. They will accept it for children but not adults. I am a 40 year old white lady in business. However I let them know that to not accept adult Medicaid but accept it for children is both a racist and classist practice. It’s absolutely meant to deter low income adults. The income limits for CHIP are higher and many kids are on it. But the issue I have is obviously this office COULD bill Medicaid if they do so for children but the doctors are choosing not to accept it for adults, which effectively controls the type of clients who would seek care at this office. I asked the receptionist to have both Dr. Carr and that location’s office administrator call me and have heard back from neither. They said that Dr. Riner at the Broad St location would accept adult Medicaid and because I needed my medication renewed I accepted an appointment for the same morning and drove over. Dr. Riner was awesome and his staff were awesome. He was very kind and thorough and he listened to my medical history and concerns and even though I was there just for a prescription renewal, he checked me out and offered to do bloodwork for a different issue and make a referral to a specialist. The time he took to sit with me and talk about my life and health was invaluable to me. This doctor is worth seeing! This office is worth your business! I will continue now to see this doctor because of his more fair billing practices and his excellent bedside manner. I am even going to pick up kombucha and yogurt this weekend thanks to the reminder of the importance of gut health! Thank you for turning my morning around, and for providing excellent access to care to our population of adults on Medicaid here in Athens!! We are in great hands.

My husband had a wonderful visit with Dr. Riner in athens ga at the office on West board st. The nurse/ secretary was wonderful and smiling every time he went to see Dr.Riner. I do hope this yiungvlady gets a raise for doing two jobs! Most of all that she appreciates what she does for the patients .

I will recommend this place forever! Finding a new PCP has been a challenge, but it took only 45 minutes from the moment I walked in to contact my insurance, change my PCP, and schedule an appointment. The front desk staff were incredibly knowledgeable about my insurance, the doctor (Dr. Riner) was fantastic, and I finally received the treatment I had been seeking for months.
