Had a great experience at this shop! The repair prices are more than fair and I really appreciate that Brent took the time to sit with me and come up with a cost effective solution to fix my '71 Schwinn Varsity. My bike is now riding great! I will be returning to Ben's for all future tune-ups and repairs.

First came to this shop a couple years ago looking for a used bike I could tool around town on. While they weren’t able to help me that day, the friendly and knowledgeable staff pointed me to a shop down the road. After that experience they became my go to whenever I need something worked on beyond my abilities or resources. Every time I visit I get a good chat in with the folks working and leave happy. Since Covid they’ve implemented some fairly strict policies to ensure customer and employee safety. With my partner being immune compromised I can’t say enough how much relief and appreciation I feel for their efforts.

what a great experience!!!! during my first visit to Athens, I had a hard time even finding a bike shop. Thank heavens I found Ben's Bikes! Brent was such a great help and so kind. I don't know much about bikes but he took time to explain and help me through the process, explaining the gears, adjusting the bike to my comfort level and being really patient. he also was extremely helpful with suggestions and places to bike, which I value greatly in customer service.....just going the extra mile. we ended up having a great time biking around and if ever in need of bike services in Athens....THIS IS THE BIKE SHOP TO VISIT!!

Awesome, friendly little bike shop! Staff are very knowledgeable and willing to explain, in detail, virtually anything you'd want to know about a given bike or its components - without ever making you feel like an idiot in the process. Plus their sweet black cat is usually there to love on :) good prices and good people!

I'm not a serious rider, so it was with a little trepidation and embarrassment that I took my nearly unused and completely neglected Trek into the shop for maintenance. It's literally sat on a porch for 4 years. We recently decided to re-vitalize it, with the idea that it would be nice to take our toddler out, so adding a seat + maintenance would give the bike new life. I can honestly say that this has been an awesome experience so far. Brent and staff have been more than helpful - offering suggestions, being gracious with their time and expertise, and all around providing great service. The staff is knowledgeable, the prices more than reasonable, and customer service top notch. A great experience, and a loyal customer from this point on.

Very down to earth people. I was between two shops and was down to deciding between two hybrid bikes from each shop. Then I tried a different type from the other shop and ended up going with it. But the reason I'm writing this is more due to the customer service rather than products. Brent was very helpful and relaxed — it didn't feel like I was dealing with a bike salesman. I felt like he wanted me to get the best out of my investment, whether that was from them or the other shop. I would definitely recommend going to Ben's first and asking their opinions because they're very nice and have a lot of knowledge to offer.

I was immediately welcomed by Brent, within an hour of close. I had my bike quoted at $195 in repairs by another LBS. Brent assessed what I "thought" was wrong, then recommended that I ignore those repairs for now because (1) they did not need repair, and (2) offered no performance/safety benefit. He explained his recommendations in-depth, in a way this novice cyclist could understand. I ended up paying $45 instead, and it was repaired by the next day. This is the kind of service you want, at affordable prices.

Great service! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Bought three bikes in one day, and they allowed us to exchange one of the bikes for a larger size two days later, with no fuss or hassle. Definitely will come back in the future. Highly recommended!

My first and only experience with this shop was excellent. I ordered a XS Kona Lanai for my 11 year son. Brandon helped me and was great. Bike came in about a week after I ordered it and Brandon built it up. My son has been riding constantly since. I have a lot of experience with shops around Athens, and I highly recommend this one.
