The most important part is that this was perhaps the best cake I’ve ever eaten. Honestly, it was insanely delicious. Not only that, she made it look awesome for my daughter’s 5th birthday”mermaid” themed birthday. All of the parents there immediately started asking where we got it from and, after taking a bite, asked again to make sure they would remember so they could order from here for their kids birthday. Anytime we need a cake, or honestly, anything that they make, I’m absolutely going here.

I ordered cookies for a baby shower from Bees Knees. Jamie designed 4 different cookies (3dozen), and they were so adorable. At first, I thought they were expensive, but when I saw them….worth every penny. They took the time to look at the invitation and listen to my ideas. And they were delicious also!!! I could not have been more pleased. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!!!

I got two cupcake bouquets and they were amazing. I gave a few inspiration pictures, a color palette, and flavors. I’m obsessed with the vanilla buttercream. Both the chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were great. These made the perfect decor and dessert for a shower!

This was my first time ever having a cake made by Bee’s Knees. My experience was absolutely AMAAAAAZINNNG! I had a gender reveal cake done and I was a bit particular on how I wanted my cake designed (I made and showed the staff a whole mood board I had curated lol). I expressed that this gender reveal cake was a really huge part of my party as I had recently loss my son in April. They made me feel very seen and made sure I felt comfortable trusting them with this cake. The cake turned out so much better than I had expected!! The details were spot on plus the flavor of the cake so soooooo good! One of the guest even made a comment that the cake was so moist he thought it was wet! The cake itself was really thick but also light and fluffy at the same time! The only criticism my guest had was that the icing was a tad bit too sweet and that the gold pearls were non edible! (Something I was unaware of as when we picked up the cake they made no mention of them being non edible). Other than those two small minor things, everything was 10000/100. I will be having my baby shower cake and cookies made from here as well!! Thank you to the staff for making this such a great first time experience! I will definitely be a repeat customer !

I have so many great things to say about this place. We've gotten two cakes here so far and both were absolutely fabulous. The first time we sent an inspo pic from pinterest and it was EXACTLY what we wanted and was so beautiful. The second time we told them the ideas we had and they brought it to life. Both were perfect and the birthday girls were in love. I will be using this bakery for any cakes I need for the rest of my life.

Absolutely beautiful cake design, it was practically identical to the inspiration picture I sent. Everyone raved about how pretty the cake was but unfortunately the outside was much better than the inside. Followed instruction to leave refrigerated and then take out one hour before serving but cake was so very dry. It was definitely a birthday letdown. So disappointed considering how absolutely beautiful the outside was.

The groom’s cake for our son’s wedding was perfect. Bee’s Knees took my idea and photos and made it perfect. The cake was absolutely delicious, and their customer service was excellent as well. The wedding and bakery was two hours from our home, and they made it seem like my local bakery. Thank you again!

We ordered a 3-tier vanilla wedding cake and a chocolate groom’s cake with chocolate ganache for our wedding. Both were delicious! The groom’s cake had the Elven script from the One Ring in gold as the sole decoration, and even though the Bee’s Knee’s folks were not familiar with Lord of the Rings, it was perfect! Jaime was very professional and on top of things, something I couldn’t be more grateful for — especially in the midst of wedding planning. The salted caramel cupcakes and the gooey bars are awesome too!

The cupcakes were good, not great, but the biggest problem was the rude staff. I ordered (and paid) for 2 dozen cupcakes (yeah, a $100 order) to be ready at 10:30am. I arrived at 10:00 when they opened and told the woman who (grudgingly) open the door that I was early but thought they might be ready. After giving her my name she said “they will be ready at 10:30 like you ordered”. No “I’m afraid they aren’t done yet” or “it will be a while”, but a short rude statement. Instead of calling her out for her attitude I left. I didn’t want to take a chance on her doing something rude to the food too. I returned at 10:30 and got the cupcakes. Again they were fine. Not worth $4/each and an attitude, but fine. Given the number of bakeries in Athens it seems like being just a little pleasant might help you stay in business. I mean there is another bakery in the same strip mall. I will not be going back and advise no one else to either. You can do much better in Athens.
