Apparently this location doesn't care about customers as the complaints never seem to be resolved. If you are a person of color you are treated differently and this isn't even playing the race card as I was there Saturday and followed around the store by an older lady who was the same race as myself. I simply left and went next door to T.J. Maxx and received better items and better service. You shouldn't mistreat anyone however to mistreat customers when other options are so close is insane.

I am beyond frustrated with my experience at Bath & Body Works today. I went in to buy the new Disney Moana fragrance for my 5-year-old daughter, and from the moment I walked in, I was treated like I didn’t even belong there. I was the only customer in the store, and instead of being greeted, I was met with complete silence. I could hear the staff chatting away at the counter, but not one of them bothered to acknowledge me. I stood there for 10-15 minutes, trying to decide on a fragrance, and not a single person said a word to me. Then, as soon as another customer walked in, the staff suddenly sprang into action, greeting them like long-lost friends. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I turned around and immediately saw the difference in how I was being treated, and I knew exactly why. It hurt. It felt like I wasn’t welcome because of the way I looked or who I am, and that’s not something I should ever have to feel when shopping. I walked out without making a purchase because it was clear they couldn’t care less. I’m angry and hurt by how I was treated, and I won’t be shopping there again.

Lafayette is a very friendly and welcoming employee. He brightened what was somewhat of a difficult day when I came in today and boosted my confidence. He’s going to make people want to keep coming back. I bought more than I intended because he made me smile. Keep him around!

This was the worst experience I've ever had at Bath and Bodyworks. I walked in, not 1 greeting. They had a 60 percent off sale today..no one in the store mentioned it. No hello. Or anything. The cashier JR WAS the worst associate ever. He was on the floor when I walked in, but didn't ask if I needed help, which I did. He simply looked directly at me and said nothing. Then there was also a black African lady who was obviously wearing a wig, walking around. Looked at me and kept walking. There weren't many customers in the store so there was no excuse. At this point instead of buying a lot of items, I opted to buy only 2. As I waited to checkout, the store manager was helping an elderly lady. JR walks up to the register, and instead of checking me out, he stood by the manager and watched what she was doing. She had to verbally tell him to check me out. I approached and still no greeting. He simply started to ring up the 2 items. I then sarcastically said to him "hello how are you? Did you find everything ok?" And he responded with a yes. I completed my purchase. As I left the store, the black African lady with the dull wig eagerly greeted a white lady that had came in and paid me no attention as I left. No goodbye. Come again or anything. So as I walked to my car I realized I could not spend any money at this particular store because of the lack of customer service and lack of acknowledgement. They obviously didn't appreciate my business. So I politely went back in. And returned the 2 items. JR completed the return, didn't inquire if ther was a reason for the return or anything. The manager came over, approved the return and also failed to inquire as to what the reason was. She has bad customer service and it trickles down to JR and the black African lady with the dry wig. I went over to epps bridge location and was nicely greeted, welcomed and helped. Don't visit beechwood location. They are horrible!

In the past, I have always been greeted. I just went in the store and there was a short worker with thin blond hair at the front that did not greet me. I walked by her several times and she still did not acknowledge my presence. She did proceed to say goodbye to a customer that was leaving out that was not the same race as I was. I am very disappointed and surprised. I didn’t even finish looking around, I politely left! I will no longer visit that location. I will take my business to the Epps Bridge location.

I don’t usually go to this location but I’ve been here more than once and had pleasant encounters. Today I walked in and wasn’t greeted, nobody asked if I needed help, nothing. The cashier asked when I was about done with shopping (not to the cashiers knowledge I’m sure) and we did exchange small talk. The cashier did greet the next people who walked in. I’m hoping it wasn’t a racial thing but most b&bw employees are a lot more engaging and helpful as soon as you walk in. I presume the manager or just another employee was also up front and she made no effort to speak or ask if I needed assistance. The cashier was the most helpful and pleasant person while I was checking my items out so I don’t want to blame the cashier but I’m not sure who dropped the ball honestly when there were two people who could’ve spoken or asked if I needed help finding anything (which I did but found it myself)

Rebecca was a rockstar! I came in the store shortly after they opened. First off, excellent job overnight crew!!! The new holiday floor set was gorgeous and I was afraid to pick anything up to smell. Rebecca was working alone as someone had called out and she was absolutely wonderful. We had small talks about our families and dogs and she knew I had a task list to complete and was helpful but not bothersome. At one point, there quite a few customers in the store and she managed the place well; greeting everyone, making suggestions, checking on each client and running the register. Not once could I tell she was short staffed and stressed. Amazing job Rebecca and thank you for a great shopping spree.

I've always gone to this Bath and Body Works since moving back to Athens a few years ago and never had an issue. I've also never returned/exchanged anything I've bought. I had a candle that stopped burning just below the halfway mark and took it along with a body spray back to exchange (the body spray wouldn't spray out). They exchanged the body spray but refused to exchange the candle stating it was below half way. I informed them...of their OWN policy that is posted on the website stating you can return or exchange at any time guaranteed. They still refused to exchange it. Even spoke with an assistant manager who claimed the policy had just changed. They gave me a number for customer service and I called as I was leaving the store. Low and behold- they were WRONG as I knew they were. Customer service informed me that their leadership team would be made aware of the incident and they would also be informing their district and regional managers as well. They placed an order, FREE OF CHARGE, to replace the candle that I tried to initially exchange. While the customer service line was great in helping me get the issue resolved, I shouldn't have had to go through the trouble for a policy THAT'S CLEARLY POSTED ON THEIR WEBSITE. Will only order online from now on.

I haven't been to Bath & Body Body Works in years. I was wanting to pamper myself a little with a new body wash. It was a good time to stop by, they were having a sale! Buy 2 get 1 free or Buy 3 get 2 free! The staff was very helpful without being smothering. With the way the store is set up made social distancing easier. All employees had face masks on and on the day I visited all shoppers did too! 😷

The employees are not friendly at all, one of them was downright rude to myself, my mother in law, and my children. They are not helpful in explaining the sales or helping you locate what you need. We felt very rushed to get what we needed and get out. I used a coupon, $10 of a purchase of $40 or more. The cashier didn’t seem pleased that had a coupon. After my purchase was completed, I told her to have a blessed day, she responded “yeah”. There was however a great selection of merchandise.
