Great little bookstore. Great staff. It's still growing, but a very interesting selection to browse, and great puzzles. I got a book and a puzzle. Great place if you really don't know what you want to read next.

I've tried to like this store. I was there Wednesday and the woman behind the desk was very rude. I've seen her treat other customers the same way in the past. I emailed the owner and asked if she would contact me. I'm pressed for time and didn't want to spend the time typing what I could easily explain in forty-five seconds. I received an email from the owner today asking that I explain the issue and email her. I requested she block her number and call me. She replied she was on the sales floor and wouldn't be available for the next three days. Ok. No problem. I won't be back. I was willing to not leave this review, but as I said, this isn't the first time I've witnessed this behavior from this woman.

This is an absolutely wonderful bookstore. They have a very well curated collection, staff picks with small cards of information clearly laying out the reasons readers will enjoy a work, a warm atmosphere and equally warm and friendly associates. They also have a great selection of used books at great prices! It is my highest recommendation to support Avid. I certainly will continue to do so!

Adorable bookstore in Five Points in Athens. We were greeted by friendly customer service as we walked in and we instantly noticed all the little quirks and attention to detail that made Avid what it was. There were handwritten notes about each section of books with recomendations about what to read, a kids section for the younger reader, and a lot of cool gifts such as different types of pens, pins, magnets, stickers, and even music boxes that play classic songs like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. All the while they were playing some great music. I'm not the reader, my girlfriend is. I'd like to return. It was enjoyable!

Stopped by this little bookshop on a day trip to Athens and loved it! They have a great selection of books. Shae and Mikey were happy to give recommendations and pull books for me. The book I bought from here was one of the first books that I have read in a long time. I hope to visit again.

I love Avid bookshop! I occasionally order online from them, and when I'm in the area I am always sure to visit in person. It's such a cute and charming store. They have a wide selection of books and their booksellers are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They also have some great gift subscriptions--I got one for my in-laws and they loved it. I love a local business that offers great service and a unique, welcoming vibe. Hmmm...maybe I should move to Athens?!
