Octavius Davis associate vice president for finance and administration is unprofessional. One minute he tells my daughter one thing and the next it's totally another. He can never assist you in the information you asked about. Why is people like him in his position? Hats off to Mrs. White who's always there to support my daughter, we need more people like her. Mr. Davis wait to the last minute to reach out to you about your balance and then think you can pay right then and now. My daughter has made payment arrangements to pay her balance and today he tells her she couldn't register for her classes because of a balance and again, he had told her that everything will be good by her making an effort to pay and she would still be able to take her classes, but again he's telling her a different story. Unprofessional and needs to be fired, because its definitely seems like he can't do his job.

I successfully graduated from Athens technical college the year of 2006 . I completed classes for the patient care attendant program. I also completed classes for the new connection survival skills workshop program. I completed classes in caregivers training for home health care. I completed classes in food and nutrition education program through the university of Georgia cooperative extension services all during my college years at Athens technical college Monroe campus. I had a real graduation ceremony celebration. I pray that the Lord blesses all of my certifications for nursing. I deserve so much better. God Almighty omnipotent unlimited please bless me, and stop scammers from deceiving me attacking me and robbing me of my money ,and certifications! Thank you today is Tuesday September 16/2025🙏❤️❤️💯

God awful!!! I can’t express how awful this school is. Not only have I been denied by a teacher to be taught, my advisor said that she wouldn’t recommend me to pursue the degree I am because I have no future in it. I have tried to take a class from this teacher in January of 2023 and she would not allow my disability aid, so I did not pass, fast forward to January of 2024 I have to take the same class again with the same teacher and she has gotten worse and my disability aid still not accepted. Tried withdrawing from the class the first week of school and it was not accepted so not 3 and a half weeks later it’s still pending and now I have to pay!! Absolutely crazy.

I can’t attest to others experiences but I can share mine. I have always been able to reach the school via email. And depending on how early the email was sent, I get a response same day. I am unable to get up and just go to campus due to working at a doctor’s office full time which I always address first. Once the person helping me is aware of my situation they direct me to the right forms and department. The only issue I have ever run into was verifying my identity for re-admission which was an easy fix.

If you care about your education at all, don't choose Athens Tech. Athens Tech teachers, with the exception of Julia Boyum and Dr. Jordan in the ECCE department because they both are INCREDIBLE teachers who taught me SO much, but with the exception of them, the other teachers do not care about you or your education. Of course I don't know every teacher there, but in my personal experience, there were atleast 5 other teachers who didn't care. One of them put her own self to sleep as she was teaching us. I've been in the office were they had lost all of a boys records so it was like he had never even gone to school there. UGA is much harder to get into (just because of their application is so tedious and not user-friendly) but you would find it is much more worth it in the end and it is just right down the street. Athens Tech is going to make you want to quit college.

So far so good! Everytime I have called they have answered or promptly returned my call. They only missed one call and I left a message. Five minutes later they were calling me back. Everyone in admissions and financial aid has been really friendly and helpful! Online support has been helpful and prompt as well. I had one issue with my student email but I was walked through it and realized it was me making the mistake. Everyone on campus has been friendly and nice as well. Student services has also been great. It has been a really positive experience overall. So excited that I am attending ATC!

I love Athens Technical College!! My experience has been so wonderful. I earned my GED in March and am now attending classes trying to get into the Dental Hygiene Program. Everyone is so kind & welcoming, especially the Director of Student Activities, James Sauceda. He is so engaging and helpful and I always enjoy talking to him. He really inspired me to get involved with the student activities that are happening on campus! I’m so excited to be at Athens Tech!!

Really can't express just how let down I was by the process I went through. I'd heard as much around town over the years but thought it was hear say. The staff is friendly and my rating in no way describes the interations I had with quite a few staff members. The system seems broken. The school needs to automate the class system based on simple yes/no questions. Ie time constraints and desired area of study. It should not be so complicated to tell students what/when/where to be. Smh

**UPDATE** All these 5 star reviews of this college are 100% FAKE! Nobody talks like that, you can tell it was written by some old boomers who are trying to get more admissions for this school. This school is GARBAGE, ask anyone who actually takes classes here. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY Just had the most INCOMPETENT human being in Registration & Records try to tell me that I had to drive to the school to fill out a form to drop a class in person. Its like they hire people who never even graduated highschool. Had to talk to her manager to confirm I can email the form. Unbelievable.

Good school overall but the Admissions office is terrible. As a student I was constantly mocked whenever I needed assistance, and even calling for a transcript request a year and a half LATER I was treated like dirt and the lady abruptly hung up. I don’t write negative reviews often but after being treated with the same contempt and disregard over a year later I had to voice my experience in hopes that the posture of Athens Tech Admissions can be adjusted.
