The staff does an excellent job at providing a safe and welcoming space for your treatments. The treatment itself has been a very powerful experience, doing more for my chronic anxiety and depression in just a few short sessions that I have spent years chasing with different therapies and anti-depressants. Vince and the nurses are there to support you at your own pace, just tell them what your needs are and they have suggestions if you don't know what to ask. Working through past traumas and the aftermath is very hard work, but the rewards of pushing through it with the help of these treatments has been more than worth it. It gave me back my hope.

My initial experience with the Athens Ketamine Center was not as a participant, but as a viewer when my husband decided to give them a try for relief from his adhesive arachnoiditis. He has lived with constant pain for 20 years. After 1 treatment he was a changed man. I got to see him smile and laugh and want to do things again and get out. It was amazing. That said I spoke to Dr. Ashford about the possibility for treatment for my pain from Bell’s Palsy. I am still in shock at having no pain after being with pain since my diagnosis in 2019. I am overjoyed. I can’t say enough good about the Athens Ketamine Center. Everyone from Dr. Ashford, Vince, Jada, and all the other ladies (I apologize for not knowing all your names) do everything to make your experience great and are all extremely professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I highly recommend giving them a try if you need relief from chronic pain.

Athens Ketamine Clinic has changed my life. The team I see - Vince, Allison, Alexa, and Hannah - are thorough, kind, efficient, and genuinely care. I see them take care with the largest and smallest details, from treatment goals to a choice of comfy blankets. They remember your name, they remember your room lighting preferences, they run on time, and they work together so smoothly. As the patient you can just focus on your treatment. I like that from the start, there's a thoughtfulness around patient's time. I was able to have my consultation with Dr Ashford and then go directly over to the clinic - no waiting weeks between being found to be a candidate for treatment and getting care. Ketamine treatment is more expensive out of pocket than other covered treatments like ssri's and muscle relaxers, and the environment is so crucial to the effectiveness. The providers at AKC genuinely care about the work they are doing and have the training and resources to do it well, and it shows in my results - life long, treatment resistant challenges of mine are slowly, finally abating. Before I started at AKC I wasn't sure I'd ever find a treatment that would allow me to experience life in the way I've only hoped. I want to start by saying this post is not reflective of the good staff that is there. Allison and Vince and the desk crew are terrific. We were involved as a family. It's very clinical in it's decor. A bit sterile. There is too much emphasis on a particular religion with propaganda everywhere. It could be more purposeful on design with music, lighting, soft chairs, etc for an optimal dissociative experience. It would be nice to show purposeful acceptance of others with LGBTQ signage. If people come for mental health they would appreciate a mental ly healthy design.

From Allison at the front desk whom always is a warm fuzzy, patient, kind and understanding to Alexa who is so gentle and sweet and most definitely Vince who is always supportive, open to my questions and a wealth of knowledge about what he does!!
