Athens best kept secret! Awesome selection at amazing prices! The ones running the store were super helpful and very knowledgeable. Don't let the appearance fool you. It may look dated but they have some of the latest products available. The selection is massive! Hard to find items were there in abundance! It reminds me of my home town hardware store, I've missed it so much and this place made me feel right at home. Can't wait to get back there for materials for my next project. I don't think I'll be going anywhere else any time soon!

I visited almost every hardware/plumbing store in the greater Athens area looking for a certain pipe and fixture for my well. A tall and skinny older African American gentleman at Athen’s Hardware was extremely helpful, got me the part, and helped me assemble it exactly how I needed it. He was fast, kind, and skilled. I wish I’d asked his name because this guy is amazing and I really appreciate his help and expertise.

They are great! I go there all the time for any hardware needs for work. If they don't happen have what you need they know where to send you. The people in the front (Johnny and Andy) are awesome and will walk you through the store and give you advice on what you might need if you are unsure.

This is really an industrial supply house, not a retail hardware store. There's lots of overlap, and they often have industrial specialties you won't find at typical hardware stores, BUT... The clerk named Johnny, who is the main fixture at the front desk, is such an incredible hostile jerk that I go here only as a last resort any more, and you should too. Any store that lets someone like Johnny stay on as "front man" needs to go down in flames.
