I love this practice. Dr. Haver takes great care of my medical needs. Sandra is beyond awesome! The whole staff is great.

Nurse Heather Patrich is a bully. The system constantly tries to repeatedly charge bills that have already been paid. They send prescriptions for medicine you did not request. This office sucks

I, and other members of my family, have been seeing Dr. Haver since 1991 or 1992 for a variety of medical issues. I've decided to write a review, because I read a review complaining about how long patients have to wait beyond the appointment time. This is precisely why I am giving the practice five stars. He's the oh so RARE physician who actually listens to what I'm saying. He gives me whatever time I need to express myself. When I feel myself becoming a bit impatient because it's beyond my appointment time, I simply remind myself that he is likely late to me, because he's extending his practice of listening to another of his patients. This thought stops me from feeling irritated. I have a time or two seen Dr. Shiver, because of scheduling issues. He, too, has a very similar approach. Dr. Haver consulted professionally with my brother, who was also a family physician, on many familial health matters, in particular, as my parents aged. My brother, who is both a saint and a geek about science, remarked to our family on multiple occasions how impressed he was with Dr. Haver's bedside manner, and his medical knowledge. Also, there is little staff turnover in this office which says a lot to me about how the staff are treated. While I realize that this has become long-winded, I must comment on his nurse, Sandra. She is nothing short of stellar. They work very well together, and both have a great sense of humor.

Waiting room is nothing special. Pricing is fair. Both Dr's are getting close to retirement. Been a patient here for decades and haven't had a good reason to stop coming. I feel like they take on too many patients. I know there are always trade-offs, but it does affect quality of care. If you are not assertive (polite but insistent) about your own health care needs, you will be disappointed.

Dr. Shiver has been my PCP for the past 15 or so years. He is incredible and very patient. I never feel like he's rushing to the next patient. Additionally, I've never had any issues with his staff, everyone has been great.

I have been a patient of Dr. Haver for about 8-10 years and I have always been pleased with his care. He takes the time to listen to you and I feel he is genuinely concerned with the well-being of his patients. I would certainly recommend him to anyone! My husband, who has multiple serious chronic conditions, is also a patient. Dr. Haver has managed his care expertly and we could not ask for a better primary care MD. This man is the real deal...look no further!

This office is poorly run. They double billed as said they were not in -network with our insurance and took full cash payment up front. Then billed our insurance and got full payment from them as they are in network- yet refused to return our cash overpayment of $290. They also lie by claiming not in network yet they know immediately by verifying benefits online if its covered, then falsify records, admit they didn't do procedures they billed and collected payment on without returning overpayments. THIS IS FRAUD AND MALPRACTICE! To document a visit that never occurred and bill the client and insurance is flat out FRAUD! Dr Haver knows about it and never addresses it. And if ask for refund they terminate the client. This needs to STOP!

I agree with Sarah's comment below. I have always enjoyed my visits with Dr. Shiver but his staff has become increasingly disrespectful. I had to call the nurses line 3 times over 3 days to get an answer - finally got an appointment in which they were glad to see me for a telehealth. When I got my call for telehealth, I gave my payment. I waited 10 minutes and spoke to the nurse for 20 minutes. Then I received a call that the doctor will not see me for my telehealth. Thinking this could have been handled before all of that. Would recommend a different doctor's office, which is unfortunate, because Dr. Shiver is generally great.

They owe my student daughter money and we are just not getting it back. When I went there to speak to someone about it they were not cooperating, Tracey shut the glass window and the office manager Mechelle did not want to give me my daughter's refund. She stated that my daughter has a $10.48 credit on her account. We are talking about only 30 dollars! Why?? Why the circus? What are they doing? When I insisted to speak to Dr. Shiver about these practices Mechelle came out with our health records, a letter for each of us signed by Dr. Shiver that "after much thought" he decided to withdraw from care of being our doctor. She also had a $25.48 check for my daughter. How does she come up with these numbers? What about accounting/bookkeeping? She then told me to leave or she will call the police. I asked for an itemized bill since the amount was still not correct and she called the police. Dr. Haver appeared and told me he will take care of it. He has not yet contacted me. I left and at home I discovered that the check was missing the authorizing signature. My poor baby would have had to pay a fee because the check would have bounced if she would have deposited it. I wrote a letter to Dr. Shiver and enclosed the check, her EOB from the insurance and copies of my daughter's bank transactions. I sent it with certified mail and addressed it "Personal and Confidential". I have not heard back. Dr Shiver?? Did you get my letter? Do you know what is going on in your name? What's going on? Where is an itemized bill and the refund for my daughter??? Update: my daughter disputed the two charges through her bank and got her money back. Dr. Haver never contacted us after telling me he will "get to the root of this" and Dr. Shiver never contacted me either after I sent him the certified letter.

Dr. Shiver is a good GP to deal with. He is friendly and listens. He doesn’t make you feel rushed so he can get to the next patient. He is quite knowledgeable too! That being said…..this office is the absolute slowest GP I’ve ever been to. Hour++ long waits only to move to the actual room to wait another 30-45 min just to see the doctor. Staff is ok but could be a lot more attentive to the patients waiting excessive, and I mean excessive!!!!, wait times. No explanation other than it’s not typical. It is the norm for this GP, believe me. I’ve been going here for probably 15 yrs, too long!, and it has ALWAYS been this way. They waaaaay overbook their appointments!!!!!! Nothing has ever changed over the yrs, so it is time for me to exit this GP. I hate that because it is convenient to my location and I like Dr. Shiver but I’ll drive further to know that an appt at 8am means I might be called around that time. Not at 9:30am while patient after patient rolls in to sit and stare at HGTV for hrs waiting to be called.
