I had been to several other eye groups and Athens Eye Doctors and Surgeons was the best experience of all of them. The check in process went very smoothly and then I was called immediately. The employees are very professional and take their time with you. I saw Dr. Sam’s and he was very straightforward after my examination. I will be using Dr. Sans to do my cataract surgery and I feel confident that he will take care of me during and after the procedure. I would definitely recommend this group over any other I have been to.

My first time at this doctor office, I had to learn my way around. But I did and everything else went great the nurses was very professional, I love that they let me know everything concerning my procedure for my eyes surgery. very detailed and patient I really love the experience I got from everyone in the office I just want to say to the staff keep up the Great job you are doing, and when the doctor came in and introduced himself and I introduced myself he was very very kind and went through everything that I needed to know about the surgery and after the surgery I really appreciate it. First visit for a cataract examination and everything went efficiently from registration to the exam for cataracts. I really appreciated Dr. Sam’s honesty in his examination of my eyes when he determined that my situation did not warrant any further treatment at this time. Very impressed with his honesty which is surprising these days!!!

Such a kind, friendly atmosphere. Check in was easy and timely. The first young man I saw was very nice. Then the young man that checked my eyes was patient with me and very friendly. This was my first time meeting Dr. Royalty. He was super nice and explained things very well. The only downside was the young lady that assisted Dr. Royalty. She apparently was having a bad day. She scowled the whole time. But everyone elses friendliness overshadowed her. I hope her day got better! Highly recommend this facility!

I’m a 70-year-old with corrective lenses and Aetna Medicare advantage plan. Co-pay was $45. I showed up 10 minutes early and got in on time, and out the door within 30 minutes. Routine evaluation was prompt and efficient. Dr. Sams and staff were excellent.

Today was my second visit to this eye group. I came in a few weeks prior for problem with a sty. I saw Dr Newcomer. The waiting room has comfortable chairs but you don’t wait long before a young lady calls you and gets the preliminary completed. Dr Newcomer comes in shortly always smiling. And makes me feel comfortable, not nervous at all. He gives you time to ask questions. He will give you the best answer. O I am very pleased going to this office and definitely pleased with Dr Newcomer. I highly recommend him as well as the entire group.
