It's easy to rave about a business when everything goes perfectly, but I find that the true test is when something goes wrong. I received this lovely Kurt Adler piece as a gift in November. It was purchased from Appointments At Five and made the long drive home to New York where it worked perfectly for a few weeks before the light gave out and the rotation almost stopped. I called the shop and received nothing but the most gracious attention, with prompt follow-up and communication. Lo and behold, within 2 weeks I now have a replacement piece delighting the family just in time for Christmas. Please stop and visit this extraordinary shop if you're in the Athens area, and know you're purchasing not only top quality and unique items, but buying from local ownership who truly cares about their customers.

Every time I'm in Athens, Georgia, I stop in At Appointments at Five. I don't know which I love better, Jenny and Kitty, or their beautiful, expansive shop with a vast array of exciting merchandise they have which I know they seek wide and far. It is a delight to spend time searching the store to find jewels big and small alike. Both Jenny and Kitty are the definition of grace, always so helpful as is their staff. If you want to be surround in some southern exquisite charm, Appointments At Five is the place to go to spend a few hours. I'm certain you won't leave the stop without purchasing one of the lovely jewels, and a lasting memory of the owners.

An associate asked if I needed help finding anything, and I told her I was just looking and that I came in because I was curious about what the store had to sell, and she didn’t say a word to me and walked off. It was a rude encounter and with the environment of the place, I couldn’t help but feel like the color of my skin and my age made me feel unwelcomed.
