We recently had the pleasure of doing business with the fine folks of Custom Mobility, Dustin Whatley in particular. I was in Athens, helping my mom after a fall and we decided to shop for a lift chair in order to help her after her injury. We looked at a few places but are so happy to have worked with Custom Mobility. So many aspects of the shopping and sale were handled in a manner that was just above and beyond. Dustin was able to order the chair that we wanted at an extremely fair price and had it shipped, assembled and delivered to us in record time. The entire process was communicated via near-daily emails so we never felt dropped. We feel like we can count on this business into the future for any help with repairs or the purchase of any other mobility equipment. The entire vibe that Dustin has cultivated at Custom Mobility is one of kindness and service. It’s an honor to have been helped by them.

I can’t put into words how amazing this company is! It’s family owned and you can feel the warmth and joy that they have for their customers. They made me feel welcomed and appreciated immediately. I knew I was going to be taken care of. I met the owner and the entire family. They care and love veterans like myself. The service they did for me, I was expecting them to charge me a lot, understandably. However, when I saw the invoice, it was so reasonable! When I asked why, they said it’s because they care for their customers! They are incredible people! Whatever you do, this should be the only place you go for accessible vehicle repair and mobility equipment! I drove an hour and will do so each time!

We have used Custom Mobility several times for van maintenance so my wife can travel in it with her powered chair. We have never been disappointed with service and pricing. Great people to work with! I messed up the drop off time so we technically should have been charged an extra day. They waived the fee which was very generous of them. We will definitely use their services when my dad comes to visit again!!!

Be careful, very careful, when renting a van from Custom Mobility. You would be wise to obtain written confirmation of fees. In our situation, we elected to have the van delivered. We are 41 miles away. Their website states that delivery within 50 miles is $50 each way. I was informed at the time of our rental that the website is incorrect and delivery was $1.25 per mile each way. However, the actual charge was $3.00 per mile each way which amounted to $246 instead of the $102 I expected. Had I been quoted this amount at the time of rental, I would have made different arrangements to pick up the van. In a phone call made when reviewing the bill, I was told that there was no adjustment that could be made. Life for those who need this type of vehicle is difficult enough without having to do business with those who take advantage of the disabled community. Shame on you Custom Mobility.

Of the three handicap accessible vehicle dealerships in the Atlanta area that I was most familiar with after a van show at the Shepherd Center, I chose Custom Mobility. They were the least pesky and they list prices directly on their website. I don't like getting calls every other day when I am only looking and I don't like having to email to get prices only to be told a vehicle probably wasn't in my price range without ever even trying to work with me. Custom Mobility gave me a fair trade on another non-accessible vehicle. I never had to leave the Shepherd Center to get the van, as they brought it to me to test drive and brought it here to make the final sale. David Hoover and Ross White were very professional and extremely helpful throughout the process. I highly recommend Custom Mobility!
