Dr. Ansari is my hero! August 2024 I had an ATV accident while on vacation in Costa Rica. I broke my arm and was taken by ambulance to 3 different hospitals looking for an orthopedic surgeon that would repair it. Twelve hours later my arm was finally set, under anesthesia, and all the road rash cleaned. Surgery was performed the next day and I flew back to Georgia 4 days later. Once back in the Georgia, I saw an orthopedic surgeon at Piedmont in Athens . After three months of physical therapy, the humerus bone was still a non- union and I still had limited range of motion and extreme pain. Bone stimulator therapy was recommend and continue twice weekly physical therapy. After six months the humerus was still a non-union , I had limited range of motion and constant pain still. Finally , at seven months I requested an MRI and appointment with a trauma surgeon- Dr.Ansari . The MRI images showed there still was a humerus non-union, the rod surgically placed in Costa Rica was too long pinching my tendons and causing impingement, one of the pins was placed in the wrong direction - pinching soft tissue , and there now was a rotator cuff tear. Dr Ansari and I discussed additional surgery to correct this . April 15 surgery was performed. He performed a bone graft , adding two plates and hardware where the break was. Next, he removed the old rod and pins replacing with new ones - correct size and direction. Lastly, he repaired the torn rotator cuff. Two week post -op appointment was positive , and everything healing as expected. Three weeks post- op I’m feeling and doing great, my arm is strong . The constant pain is gone, I’m beginning to to use my arm and know that with ongoing physical therapy will improve the range of motion. I’m forever grateful to Dr. Ansari and his team!

I was treated by Dr Ansari after a near fatal car DUI accident on our way to visit family in Louisiana. Thankfully the accident occurred near Athens GA, less than an hour from our home. My injuries were severe to both my femurs & knees, as well as broke all but three ribs & broke my right wrist & several fingers. Dr Ansari worked hard not only to put me back together but keep me alive. My left leg was not just broke in several places but shattered. Rods,plates & screws are in both legs, but I am alive & walking with a walker. This happened 4yrs ago when I was 69yr old. I'm still using a walker but I am alive & continue healing.

Dr. Ansari treated my husband's broken foot and ankle, he was very pleasant and nice to talk too. Dr. Ansari also took the time to explain what was wrong and exactly how he planned to treat the issue. Then when one of the screws from my husband's procedure started to become displaced, he got him in ASAP fixed the issue. Which was no fault of his but just how my husband's body handled it. Definitely recommend Dr. Ansari.
